What was the original scene again? I remember her getting a motorcycle but don't remember the other stuff

I'm amazed that every thread about sexist asshats saying stupid shit about Larson inspires folks to think that this is where "I should declare how lame and uncharismatic I think Larson is"
There's often a disclaimer people share before solidarity or congratulations on the internet. I don't like this thing, but X is bad or Y is great.

So might as well obsess over them? This has been the 50th thread informing us how insufferable the sexists are. Let's not immediately undercut discussion of the scene itself. Let them whine in their own bubble.

Nah, I think laughing at these people does more good than bad, because it reinforces acceptable social norms.

Leaving internet nerds discover these twats on their own is the best way to get roped into their scams.

Tom Cruise has been beating up people and stealing their cars and bikes for DECADES. I don't see these guys getting all pissed off about it.

Yeah, I think she has the charm of an old sandwich, like casting Jai Courtney as Tony Stark.
Should have gone with the other Scott Pilgrim girlfriend and cast Mary Elizabeth Winstead. More eye twinkle in my opinion.
(hope it's cool for me to write this, the toxicity around the film is so fucking weird)

I'd have liked Lagetha from Vikings, or Starbuck from Battlestar Galactica. All I can hope now is that she grows into the role because right now I put captain marvel right next to Falcon, in characters I dont care about in the MCU (or who need more development).

The point here is the scene in the OP is such a blatant terminator 2 homage, you could practically swap the dialogue in from T2 on top of the Marvel scene and it would work. And a huge proportion of the people complaining about the Marvel scene would have liked and supported that T2 scene, just because it's Arnold and not Brie.

I laughed when she stole the bike and then proceeded to drive like a maniac. Reminded me of that old Captain America movie where he hijacks a car. xD

I mean, they only care because they don't want to fuck Tom Cruise.

It at least, they say they don't.

Can't have your female stars be undesirable, that ain't how Hollywood works. You can be as strong willed as you want, as long as I still want to take you to bed afterwards.

These Jokers can stay mad.

I don't get this at all. Before watching I figured there would at least be a tiny bit of something I could see how some kinda wacko could get upset about. But nope... just a nod to Terminator that was actually well done. I'm at a loss here.

Where did I say that at? Are you alright? Where the flying fuck did I imply fighting them with memes? What the hell are you talking about? Clearly you missing something in your haste to reply.
Take a breath and calm down first of all. Christ. Then, look at some of the posts above your over-aggressive response. Have a good one.

Pretty sure Tom Cruise was a sex symbol throughout his entire career.

Also I think marvel was the top searched super hero on porn hub.

Why do they insist on pretending no one likes Captain Marvel? It's so weird. That's one heck of an echo chamber.

I mean, if you have the numbers on how many guys want to fuck Tom Cruise, I'll look at them.

But make no mistake, the reason these piss babies are mad is because they have to deal with a protagonist who's sole purpose isn't making their dicks bounce in their pants FIRST, be a super hero second, like it always has been.

So...yes, as far as the MCU goes, it's silly and asinine and clearly not true.

In the comics...It's pretty fair to say that, at least as far as comic creators go, Captain Marvel is probably the most reviled character on the roster, if only indicated by the history of completely shit stories that they put her at the helm of and the complete logic lapses they use to have her take as many L's as possible.

But yeah, when people say they don't like MCU Carol, they're talking out of their ass, she is extremely popular and will only continue to have her popularity grow.

My point was that he's still a machine with a directive that he follows. Captain Marvel is supposedly a good person, but she assaults and robs that guy for being a douche. Also blows up a jukebox for no apparent reason. I do find it pretty hard to like her.

Dumbo should have just left her alone though, if it was me I would have done worse to that guy.

Like we all know what wold have happened had he tried to mess around with Hancock lol

I mean...

Every single Male super hero has insane work out routines to get dream bodies and they're all super attractive actors that get shirtless scenes in their introduction... hell even teenage Spiderman.

But like I said the haters still think she is attractive. They just hate her because of Brie Larson so they twist everything the character does with their stupid disdain for Brie.

And it all stems from the fact they couldnt understand what Brie said and got offended for no reason and refused to realize it out of blatant mysoginy.

I really think it's the big thing because you see none of them hating on Evangeline Lilly and the Wasp, who share similar design and has some scenes that prove she is superior to her Male counterpart.

Everytime without fail.

It's like Bob Chipman said: "If you wanna protest Obama's drone policies, don't do it on the same day and so close to the guys wearing white hoods."

I think it was funnier when she didn't even acknowledge him and just took his bike when he wasn't looking.

I liked it. Wish they kept it since it does add to the cahracter of Cpt. Marvel. Only thing I didn't like about the scene was how he did not react to her odd name... Than again, it's not worst than "The Don"... dafuq?

I get it and I regret posting but if there is a post about a drone video and people saying "we love drones!", how is it not OK for someone to say "I'm not a big fan of this perticular drone".
I would not do it on twitter or places where I have no idea who is around me (for fear of being put into the same corner as those asshats), but I feel this board is pretty great and non-toxcit.
So I did not even think that I would be writing it "close to guys wearing white hoods".
But lesson learned, this is a celebration thread and you don't need folks repeating/saying Dark Souls 2 sucks when you want to talk about a Dark Souls 2 mod or whatever.

That clip was a fun homage to T2. I wish they had kept it in. It only added a few more seconds to the film, so I don't think it would have impacted the runtime to a substantial degree, and it's a lighthearted jab at toxic masculinity.

Not surprised one bit at the snowflakes getting pissy about it. Keep calling them out. Every time. The problem doesn't go away by ignoring it.

At this point she could breathe and they'll just lose their minds. Fuckin asshats

I did think the movie went a little cartoon villainy in places with the misogynistic characters, but I liked it overall.
