The game looks pretty cool and it works by taking up a portion of your screen or can be placed on a second screen, so you can do other stuff like watch videos, play other video games, etc.

There's also a Sims like game that is being developed with a similar concept by the friend of the developer.

Maybe you can play these games while playing Spirit City: Lofi Sessions, which a gamified focus tool:

Bought Rustys. I've always wanted to try and make my own idler. It doesn't seem nearly as overwhelming as most other games

Bought the Supporter Pack. This is perfect for when I'm trying to catch up on a show, thanks for putting it on my radar!

Not gonna lie, reading "Rusty's Retirement" alone made me think it was a sequel to Rusty's Real Deal Baseball.

I found this to be an interesting concept, so I looked into it a bit. My impression is that it takes up quite a bit of screen space, and I couldn't imagine trying to do something else while that was on the screen. But I didn't try it, so maybe I'm wrong. It's still interesting to me, though.

It sits in the background, so it won't really interfere with other windows unless you want it to.

I downloaded it yesterday Is there a way to move the window around? I'm playing on Mac and don't like having my taskbar hidden, but when the taskbar is up it covers 25% of the game.

EDIT: Nevermind. I found it.

Also, the option to move the window to the right or left side of the screen seems to be busted.

As someone with a pretty severe case of ADHD, this has done wonders for me.

Usually when I'm focusing on a task, I'll sometimes take periodic mental breaks, which can lead down a rabbit hole of distraction and time sunk into unproductive things. This, however, gives me a small little thing I can do every few minutes while I work and it only distracts me for a minute or so at a time and I can then immediately get back to the actual work I was doing. I still get that "I looked away for a second to do something to break up the monotony" feeling, but since it's in such short chunks, I don't fall down a rabbit hole and can get right back to the stuff I was doing.

I love this.

Your mention of tasks and breaks reminded me of this time management technique I happened to read about a couple weeks ago. I don't know if you'd find it interesting but https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pomodoro_Technique

I've been enjoying it a lot this weekend. These type of games trigger my min-maxing nature and I've put in over 20 hours of actual play time instead of letting it be just the casual idle game lol. Working on additional maps now that I've unlocked them.

There are some bugs with the game but it's received a few patches over the weekend and the discord has been a great community.

Anyone know if for rusty's do you need to be a twitch affiliate for it to be able to incorporate with twitch or could you just stream it with base account and still set up the commands?

Does anybody know if it's possible to scroll the screen left or right? I've purchased plot expansions, but the only way to see them is to zoom way out. I'm likely missing something...

For an idle game I sure do play this quite a bit lol. But for the work I currently do it's actually really helping me keep focus having a quick one minute break now and again.

Does the farm expand or stay the same size to accommodate the windowed optional presentation? Idle games that are mostly numbers going up don't rly do it for me but if there's something more visual like this where the game auto expands a settlement or structures into something larger that'd be amazing. In a roundabout way kind of what I was looking for in my chill city builders thread I made yesterday.

It expands up/down or left/right (you scroll)

You expand manually though and plop down tiles where you want them to go. You can move them at any time.

Well, I've sufficiently seen all the content.

Good game. Good, good game. Will let it idle for a day or two to build up reserves then wait for more stuff to be added!

Right? Turn-based games was what I used before but this genre could be a big thing for us.

How does watering work? If a plant has a 5x watering stat, does that mean it has to be watered 5x for it to become harvestable?
