I call them all bumpers and triggers regardless of whether I'm using PS or Xbox controllers. I'm curious if this is common with Americans only.
thisWhatever they are labelled as.
If they weren't labelled, I'd default to L1/R1/L2/R2.
Wait what am I misunderstanding hereI've never ONCE called any of the extra Xbox buttons by their name. I always say LT, RT, LB, RB.
To me, saying it opposite of that is like saying Left 2 or Right 1
That's correct.
The says Left Trigger, Right Bumper, etc.Wait what am I misunderstanding here
The names on Xbox ARE LT/RT, LB/RB, and that's what you say?
What the HELL is going on in this thread?I've never ONCE called any of the extra Xbox buttons by their name. I always say LT, RT, LB, RB.

Same. None of this ZL/ZR or Trigger/Bumper stuff.
Yep. except on the Switch because my mind for some reason can't process the ZR and ZL so it trips me up every time
It never crossed my mind how dumb ZR & ZL are lmao, such a Nintendo thing too.Err, whatever they're labelled (R1, R2, L1, L2 on Playstation or... L, R, ZL, ZR on Nintendo (which is still the fucking dumbest thing)).
I had to go and pick up my pro controller to even remember what they were. I have no idea why it trips me up as much as it does - they've used that label since the Wii pro controller. It never crossed my mind how dumb ZR & ZL are lmao, such a Nintendo thing too.
Suppose there was a new platform (Stadia, Luna, etc) that had the same controller form factor, but you hadn't seen the label on the buttons yet and you were trying to tell somebody to press the index finger buttons (literally happened to me recently).Uh what? They have clear labels for each button.
What the HELL is going on in this thread?
