Not nearly enough, the people voting Tories didn't give a shit about bigotry. It just shows how bad the UK is.Millions of white people also voted for progressive politics up and down the country.

So, you backed the Tories. Congratulations!
It's a 2 party system, you don't have a choice.
She would have shat it anyway.
Fuck. England.I'm seeing 'fuck England' posts and you want me to be understanding? It was a general election but believing the top two parties would be complete polar opposites in there governing is a little naive.
I've lived through labour rule, and house price inflation is on them, they made no effort to stifle the housing market and let it spiral out of control all through the early 2000's. For that I can't forgive them, but sadly the leadership then was a better standard than now.
Thank you for insisting that I'm sneering, I'm not. The venting here however is silly.
Come to Scotland and help us build an escape route and a future we can look forward to instead of fear.
Yep - they need to do what Blair did in the 90s.
It's the only way Labour will ever see power, they also need to cut their Union Policy I believe that's how Ed Miliband was voted in Dave lost the Union vote.
Obviously given the way that constituency was divided people should have voted Labour. But Labour doesn't have a divine right to the liberal vote and they sure as shit don't have one to the remain vote. With at best fuck all to say on civil liberties, the geniuses behind the Iraq War, ID cards and mass surveillance they are not a liberal party and diverge from the Lib Dems dramatically on economic policy. No one has stolen shit. This will continue until Labour changes.WTF? Labour would've won that seat if it wasn't for Lib Dem stealing liberal votes away from them. Lib Dems divided the liberal vote, ruining any chances Labour had of succeeding in this election.
The illusion of choice. Most marginal seats in England were Tory or Labour and the Lib Dem vote removed votes that would have secured Labour seats.I did have a choice and voted liberal but please that doesn't fit with rhetoric so carry on.
Scotland and Northern Ireland deserve to be free from British rule. They don't deserve to go along with whatever misery Little England is trying to bring upon them.I hope NI and Scotland can leave the union and hope that comes with peace (mainly the NI people - although obviously hurdles there)
Fuck the English and Welsh. You're horrible bastards who think you're upper class, when in a period of time you'll be declaring yourself bankrupt as your medical bills are through the roof from too many weatherspoon cooked breakfasts and the food banks have reached maximum capacity. The upper class will be laughing down on you. Tory assholes.
I'd list the many horrors of a decade of Tory rule, but I doubt you're actually arsed are you? I could tell you how one of my cousins who's a physician associate is having to fucking prescribe FOOD to people in England in 2019 to allow them access to food banks because of how much the Tories have decimated the welfare system, but what do you care about that? People will die as a result of this ya cunt.Goddamn it's a shit show in here. Some of you manbabies need to grow up a little.
I could not vote labour with Corbyn at the helm, the guy does not inspire confidence and was no Tony Blair. I think a lot of people felt that.
governments come and go but some of the comments in here are damn right hilarious. step away from the keyboards people.
That's working out really well in America right now.....The multi-party system screws UK politics up so hard with FPTP. The opposition parties need to coalesce into one, at least in England. Be like the Dems in the US - Big Tent politics that skews towards liberal, non-white and college educated white. This is essentially what the Right did (Brexit Party non-competing with the Conservatives).
Lol. Libs now ex leader was basically a Tory. You also have ex Tories in Libs.Obviously given the way that constituency was divided people should have voted Labour. What year are you living in? This is 2019, not 2005. Corbyn's Labour Party is a completely different party from Blair's Labour Party. Blair was a centrist. Corbyn is the most left-wing leader that Labour has had in decades. You're confusing two completely different Labour Parties.Obviously given the way that constituency was divided people should have voted Labour. You just listed three policies that have nothing to do with the current Labour leadership BECAUSE it changed so much.Obviously given the way that constituency was divided people should have voted Labour. But Labour doesn't have a divine right to the liberal vote and they sure as shit don't have one to the remain vote. And you're confusing left wing with liberal, which have often been at complete odds through history. What year are you living in? This is 2019, not 2005. Zero.
Scotland might have an unofficial one, but Boris has to agree to any official one. So effectively none.
My mum is coming down today - she's a Tory whose constituency stayed blue in Berwickshire. Feel like just not opening the door.
Divide and rule. That's what happened. The Tories won by dividing the liberal votes between Labour and Lib Dems, instead of uniting the liberal votes behind Labour. That's what gave the Tories a dominant victory. The illusion of choice. Most marginal seats in England were Tory or Labour and the Lib Dem vote removed votes that would have secured Labour seats.
Welsh votes tend to align quite a bit with English ones, but generally that's due to English retirees. Can someone explain this (https://www.bbc.com/news/election-2019-50766203) in context of all the 'fuck Wales' posts? This is not my area of expertise, and I'm almost certainly missing a lot of context, but why are Welsh people being blamed so heavily for the results tonight?

What are you on about? Corbyn is the most liberal leader that Labour has had in decades. Stop confusing Corbyn's Labour Party with Blair's Labour Party. Two very different parties. And you're confusing left wing with liberal, which have often been at complete odds through history.
Wales voted for Brexit, so there's a lot of anger from Remain and Scotland crowds. Can someone explain this (https://www.bbc.com/news/election-2019-50766203) in context of all the 'fuck Wales' posts? I'm not so sure about this. Once he's out of campaign mode (where he needs to pretend he cares about all the nations of the UK), he might very well come to see Scotland as a place he can afford to lose. Conservatives there are outnumbered and can no longer claim to be a growing party. Johnson might figure that a referendum that removes Scotland from the UK would be a good way of severely reducing the size of his political opposition.

He's probably also sufficiently badly informed that he feels Scotland is a net drain on the UK economy. If not, he will at least be aware that this is a common illusory belief among his party, and that many would secretly welcome Scottish independence on the false basis that it would save the UK money.
Well damn UK, looks like the bad thing happened.
Welcome to our suffering, the waters warm.

Labour have nothing or very little to say about civil liberties and are radically socialist. If you think Lib Dem's have stolen votes that are somehow rightfully yours because we all agree in equal rights then you don't understand the Lib Dem's or the voters you think should vote Labour. What are you on about? Corbyn is the most liberal leader that Labour has had in decades. Stop confusing Corbyn's Labour Party with Blair's Labour Party. Two very different parties.
He might well think all that but it would require him to go against the entire history of the Conservative and Unionist party. It would require a massive change that would - probably - go down very badly with lots of his MPs and the public.
Just woke up after like 5 hours' sleep. Dread to ask but how's it looking? I haven't looked at my phone because the Apple News alert might kill me.
