the uplay version does not work for that reason. maybe the move to steam will prompt a change?

Yep, you'll have to buy it again BUT if you own the DLC on UPlay there's a good chance you won't need to re-purchase it on Steam. For Anno 1800 and Assassin's Creed Valhalla all of my UPlay purchased DLC works with my Steam base game purchase.

No. It uses EAC and the existing uPlay version will not boot on Steam Deck due to EAC.

The original The Division does not use EAC and works fine.

I've been playing division 2 on PS5 with my roommate, were almost max level.

It's alright, definitely fun to play together, I would not be playing it without having a friend playing too. I think it would be boring solo.

So if you buy it, make sure you have a friend for the best experience.
