Thanks to the latest Square Enix sales, NieR: Automata managed to move nearly 100.000 units on Steam, reaching 808.000 owners on Steam. Nier Automata is PlatinumGames best selling game on PC/Steam, surpassing Metal Gear Rising sitting at 703.000 owners.

Wow, if only they did patched it, didn't treat it like a second tier release and hide it until the PS4 release, they could've moved more units.

Que the complaining about no PC patch....

Which is completely justified. SE going to SE I guess. Seems to have only focused on the XV port and nothing else.

I desperately want to play it but can't support the game with the way they're treating it.
Will pay full price if they ever release a patch.

I mean they don't really have to release a patch when it sells so well regardless
But Squeenix seem incompetent at handling this game anyway. If you look at the most recent forum posts discussing the updates to the PS4 version, you see that they kept breaking things that had been fine before. That was a year ago btw. And you want them to touch the PC version with their slimey fingers?

I want this game terribly, but given the support, I think I can wait a little while.

It's not worth depriving yourself of the GOTY 2017 just because. You can refund it if it doesn't run well but the FAR mod makes it really playable for most people.

Quite astonished tbh.. the way they treat their fanbase with not a single performance patch and these sales... damn. They do not deserve these sale figures with regards to the current state of the game right now.. don't even get me started on the necessessity of a mod to play this game properly lol.

Turned out to be my favorite game of all time. So happy for the success!

I say that as a person that played it on PS4 Pro. Will double dip on Steam here soon patch or no patch.

Couldn't resist the price...

... and then I found out that it's not exactly the best port ever...

... and that the following week it was on sale for the PS4 after God knows how long...

Add me to the list of "I want to play it, but get it patched first".

It doesn't help that even with a discount, regional pricing is making it even more expensive than the PS4 version, which I'm honestly closer to get rather than this.

This garbage port without a patch is gonna break a million. This is why we get bad things.

Nah it won't.

It's been stuck at 700k for a very long time. The SE massive sale on steam managed to get this to 800k.

It will only brake a mil when it goes on a deep sale. Anyhow the fact that they refuse to patch the broken game out of the box is sad.

My i7-4770k / GTX 980 Strix still runs the game better than my PS4 Pro. PC version could obviously be better, but I have no major issues with it. I recommend it, even with its faults.

Edit: 82% of all reviews on Steam are positive, so it can't be all bad. I'm not saying that it's all roses as the game obviously has a few issues that will be more apparent to some people than others. It's by no means an unplayable mess in any way.

I'm running a 4770k and a 970 and had zero problems with it, and I'm not even running the FAR mod. All I have is a program called Borderless Gaming that lets me run non-native borderless windowed as borderless windowed.
