Via BuzzFeed:
"He feels like he's being attacked," Crews said during an interview on BuzzFeed News' Twitter morning show AM to DM. "But the truth is, he's not."

"The truth is, Kevin, you're not being attacked," Crews continued. "The truth is you have to just acknowledge what went on and acknowledge the pain of other people. That's all anybody's asking for. That's it."

The Brooklyn Nine-Nine star and host of America's Got Talent: The Champions compared himself to Hart, saying he sometimes becomes defensive when his wife accuses him of something wrong.

"Then all of a sudden you can get hardened," he said, "but the hard part is when you put down the defenses and you say, 'Wait a minute, I'm not listening.'"
During his AM to DM interview, Crews also called on black men and people in powerful positions to hold one another accountable in the wake of the Surviving R. Kelly docuseries.

"Black women have been saying this for years and when you have our culture, black men who have been ignoring it, who have been defending guys like R. Kelly," Crews said.

"I'm demanding that men everywhere, in any of these cultures, demand accountability from each other and we have to speak up," Crews said. "We have to be more vocal."
I adore this man. Also Brooklyn 99 returns tonight on NBC and you all should watch it!

good to know people care more about the typo than the subject matter. stay classy ERA.

on topic: Good on him for spreading awareness to this kind of thing. Tackling toxic masculinity is a hard thing to do.

Terry Crews is too good for this world. Are we sure he's not actually the Second Coming of Jesus?

Really hope T. Crews doesn't have some inner demons hidden away that we will find out about in the future. We need someone stable to rest our heads on

It's a wonder that a guy as great as him has made it as far as he has in an industry filled with bullshit that just grinds you down

I agree with him about Hart, but with regards to R Kelly it seems unfair to single out black men for ignoring his despicable behavior when it was everyone that ignored it. The entire industry, by and large, ignored it for decades. That doesn't excuse anything, obviously, and we as a society have to do a better job of holding famous people accountable regardless of how much we enjoy their music, acting, or whatever it is they do.
