Yeah, the board game part isn't really defines the mode. Though it is fun scrambling to pick up a fighter you want on the board before someone else gets it, lol. It's the matches that make the mode really shine, though.
But the ridiculousness of it is what makes it so fun! It is a party mode, after all.

I had outgrown FF by then. Then a couple years ago (around the time Lightning Returns was coming out) I though, Hey, maybe I should get back to FF! Then I read what FFXIII played like and never touched.
Yeah, I don't know what these Zelda complaints are because whenever I play FFA For Glory and someone picks her, they're usually kicking ass with the deadly teleport attack. Pretty cool that move has KO potential now.
This is why I'll always "ehhh" on Sami from AW, because to me it feels a lot of those votes for her were mostly for "Snake don't fit, get him out, but give the moveset to her it'll work".

Making Mii Fighters with fitting outfits and certain equippable strengths and weaknesses was a favourite pasttime of mine. In fact I hope they'll only expand on the concept, give extra options so that my deformed mii characters feel even more like what I'm trying to make them be.
Making Mii Fighters as customizable as Emerl from Sonic Battle would be the best, allowing Miis any A or B moves taken straight (as far as that's possible) from the different Smash fighters themselves. This will take a hugemongous amount of work so I don't expect anything of that level, but hey I can dream. Instead of that I'll take three new Mii Fighter job classes too (Magic, Spear/Pole/Staff and Club/Axe are high on my want list).
That's a strange way of looking at it. I feel like most of these posts are lamenting the loss of Snake and his fun moveset and want to see it return, even if the character never can. Plus, a beloved series gets representation - everybody wins!

Nah, they've been doing this for most of 2018's Smash showings, at least ones that has 4.
Obviously I think they should improve on their super lackluster movesets (BoTW Zelda to the rescue), but the idea that a character "deserves" to be competitively strong is pretty laughable, to me anyway.
I think the best we can hope for is bits and pieces of Snake's moveset to appear in other new fighters' movesets, but a near 1:1 copy seems weird. Especially since AW games themselves have no grenades, homing-missles, C4, landmines etc (unless the Gamecube entries did. I never played those tbf). Sami is a cool looking character and I wouldn't be mad if she somehow made it in, but I'd like her moveset to be something better fitting to AW.
Sheik more or less has the grenade, so now we need a character that could use something akin to C4. Like a remote detonation mine...
Oh damnit, one Rare character that could easily fill that spot, lol. Maybe she can be added alongside Banjo Kazooie :^)

Ah man, too bad. Still, I want to keep tabs on all the LA Era members. We met up a few times with the 3DS Smash, but the Wii U version kind of killed that. With Switch it'll be a lot easier.

this will be her new final smashIf the moves are going to stay effectively the same anyway, I think they'd best be turned into light magic, since there's no longer a need to force stuff onto her. Although, one could argue her power may only work on malice.
I'm not sure it would make much sense within the lore of Xenoblade 2 to have Pyra without Rex. And wouldn't BotW Zelda be in the base roster?......wait a second....you're going for the Kimishima Special, aren't you?
