I'm going to buy an SD card... The game looks good, though.

But Nintendo needs to see what's up with that.

If the game can be played without the "toys", I don't know why Ubisoft isn't selling just the game itself at retail. I want to buy Starlink for PS4 but at $75, hell no. Ubisoft does a billion ACO editions but can't do a basic/standard and with toy included editions for Starlink. SMH.

Game looks boring from the gameplay I've seen anyway. But this trend has to stop. Nintendo, get your shit together.

Can you just buy this entire game digital? Only figure I want is the Arwing and that's not included in the starter pack afaik

edit: lmao I guess I was blind because I looked right after posting this and it was there....I wonder if they'll sell star fox stuff separately.

Don't mind how big the update is, we live in 2018 no one should really have an isue getting the update, biggest issue is that terrible warning on the covers.

Yeah, I ain't buying a physical game with a mandatory download to work. Might as well just go digital at that point.

I love how angry people are getting over Switch needing to download stuff to the SD card as well as the cart.

You do realise PS4s and Xb1s have a 512gb HDD as standard, which can hold maybe 10 modern games before filling up? Many of those games require extra data to be saved to the HDD as well.

I legit don't see why some see this as such a deal breaker.

Micro SD cards are super cheap, so whatever.

This game looks neat. Got the Switch and PS4 versions on preorder .

I think its because the whole game is not on the "cart" (disc), but even then, they have the beta version as most of the games have massive day 1 updates.

Meh. I have a 200GB card on my Switch and I'm fine.

Honestly I'de pay another $5-$10 for a 32-64GB cart per game just to avoid this. I know a lot of people get upset by that but personally I would.

To be fair, those consoles come with a lot of storage compared to Switch.

Do they actually though? The base models are 512gb. Many, many games now are 50gb+. That means 10 games before hitting the storage cap and needing to delete things or expand.

They also frequently have huge day 1 patches. I don't think that, proportionally (when game size is taken into account) the PS4 and XB1 have wildly more storage than Switch really.

Exactly. I'm ok if there's a patch or something that I won't get in the future, but when I can't even play the game even when I bought physical? No chance.
Exactly, other games get patches but that doesn't mean you can't play and finish the game without them.

Here you are fucked.

Yep, same for me. Sure, here you have to buy an sd card, but I don't see how you'd get away without one of those regardless.

That's not the point though.

Our problem with these types of releases is that the game gets fucked once the servers are gone.

Who gets fucked? You already downloaded the file if you buy the game when it comes out...

Or are we hypothetically talking that the serves COULD go down and somehow you'd still want to play an old ass game?

I mean, the people you are replying to are very stubborn on this topic. I'm with you but you also have to respect their choice to not buy something for any arbitrary reason they desire. Hopefully this will be less common in 2019 since apparently the 32 gb cards will get more mass produced.

Depends on the model how much storage they come with, and I might be wrong, but don't they require installs as well?
Yes they require installs, which is why I said my Switch base memory lasted longer than it did on the other two.

But if you're someone that's going digital often, Switch is at a disadvantage here.

This game isn't Switch exclusive you know, I'm disappointed too but it's better to get it on another platform then.

Why is it such a big deal that it has a 15GB patch? Have any of you played on PC, or any other console for that matter? 15 GB is a blessing.

I can see this being a problem for people who have very low data caps though.
