So now we know who's composing Astral Chain. Apparently Satoshi also worked on some music for Bayonetta 2 and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - Torna: The Golden Country:

We've officially got confirmation on the game's lead composer: Satoshi Igarashi! He's previously done work on Bayonetta 2 and Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna ~ The Golden Country, though I believe this is his first game in which he's lead composer. In addition, the game's vocalists are William Aoyama and Beverly!

Thoughts?

Nintendo recommended vocal tracks so they're working with Amex to produce 3 tracks: an opening theme, ending theme, and a song that plays in a climactic moment.

Torna's battle theme was ace so I'm looking forward to this.

Some of the songs sounded like Keiichi Okabe, a couple of others like El Shaddai's soundtrack.

This is pretty high praise. The OST is in good hands.

Damn hoped it would Okabe. Oh well still good tracks though.
Does Okabe work on much games? He seems to be very particular and seems to prefer working with Taro lately

As for Satoshi, it seems he's helped a lot on many of Platinum's games by his quick bio at the bottom of the page, including Nier:

Satoshi Igarashi
Satoshi Igarashi joined PlatinumGames as a music composer in 2013. Since then, he's worked on music for Bayonetta 2, Transformers: Devastation, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan and NieR:Automata.

As ASTRAL CHAIN's lead composer, Igarashi wrote and produced songs for the game's score, directed all music and handled the more technical aspects of musical implementation as well.

Why isn't this game getting much hype?

This is turning out to be a great lineup.
