On a now deleted tweet Industry analyst Serkan Toto tweeted "Summer 2022, Pro time indeed"

This comes after Nintendo made their Switch OLED and Lite trailers private, making the speculation of a new Pro model reveal.

Nintendo privates both Nintendo Switch Lite and Nintendo Switch OLED trailers from YouTube

I went back to look at the trailers for fun and I couldn't find them on Nintendo's main page, Nintendo UK YouTube still has the OLED trailer up but not Lite and the American and Japanese YouTube have it private. The original Nintendo Switch announcement video is still up however.

IF one is revealed? I sure as shit don't see it coming out this fall. If only there was some sort of major game release next year that could benefit from better hardware.

Regardless of whether or not any of this means anything, I still want it to be true. There are so many switch games that would benefit a lot from running a bit smoother.

I'm more inclined to believe this is an out of context sort of joke than an actual tease.

We all know Switch 2/Pro is launching next year.

This isn't Switch 2? Does this mean no Switch 2 next year? Pro in fall and Switch 2 next year seems like overkill.

2020 Predictions

Switch Pro launch - There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Nintendo will launch a "Switch Pro" in 2020, my guess is at $399. More specifically, I predict 4K support, bigger cartridge sizes, and of course beefed-up components. I also think the device will launch after the summer holidays to counter the roll-out of the PS5 and next-gen Xbox later in the year - along with a first-party, system-seller game.

It'll be interesting to see how they market it. Will they sell it more as a Switch successor or as an upgrade console like the Pro or the X?

I think it might have been more a fear of Nintendo fans than the company itself, lol. Though I do think a new Switch is bound to be announced sometime within the next 6-12 months or so, so I'm not ruling anything out.

I know, I saw the Nvidia leaks so they're working on something but I can't see it releasing until at least late next year (Ninty is on a 2 year release pattern so far and maybe that changes but I doubt it)

I'm so tired of this will they, won't they back and forth. I'm not thread whining or anything, but damn, I really wish they would just confirm the damn existence or have everyone else be quiet about it lol. It's getting old.

As much as I'm skeptical about any new announcement anytime soon, it's pretty funny seeing people get bent out of shape harrumphing all over others having a little bit of fun.

How do they do that second bit? It's not like these are people who work for Nintendo or people Nintendo has any power over.
