Rumor: GameStop advertising PS4 version of Mortal Kombat 1

I am pretty sure that this is the first time PS4 is mentioned anywhere. MK1 was announced as and supposed to be current-gen only.

I'll chalk this one up to being outdated promo stuff or even Gamestop just thinking it'd be on PS4 too and making their own stuff and not removing it. That said, there's a few games that have made it to PS4 despite being current gen only like the remake of RE4, so if it's gonna happen time will tell...

We're in the full on marketing blitz. If there was a PS4/XB1 version we would know by now. Gamestop just incorrectly assumed there was going to be a PS4 version.

mk 11 is 2019.

your thinking of mk x which had the ps360 versions cancelled

its more likely GS made a mistake than NetherRealm has a version they have done zero advertising of with it coming out in less than a week

if this was hitting ps4, a system with a massive player base, im sure NR woulda said sommit

It could be a situation where the PS4 version is coming much later like was done with Midnight Suns. That launched on PS5 first then came to PS4 a few months after that.

Pretty crazy that they're leaving those install bases behind. Especially since they're having a studio put in the work to port it to Switch. You'd think they could have those devs just upscale the Switch version for the other last gen consoles.

Makes sense, if there's a Switch version then there can be a last gen version.

It absolutely doesn't change the fact that MK1 is the most impressive looking fighting game to date.

Tekken 8 isn't cross-gen.

It's so dumb there aren't PS4/Xbone versions of this game that I don't blame anybody for making this kind of mistake.
