Just watched this movie again today since I saw it was on Netflix. I absolutely love this movie. I think it's Matt Damon's best performance tbh. It feels like I've met so many people like his character irl. If you haven't seen it you should watch it immediately. It's hilarious and a little bit sad in a very strange sort of way.

When he's asked towards the end of the film "Why do you keep lying?" and he answers himself in his own head "I don't know" but then continues to lie and live in his own reality...is a heartbreaking scene imo.

Damon and Affleck reportedly bought the story of the McDonald's Monopoly scam... hopefully Damon pretty much reprises this role.

you should check out the movie Bernie with jack black (directed by richard linklater). it's kind of similar.

I haven't watched it since I saw it in the theater in 09 but I really enjoyed it. Matt Damon gave a great performance.
