Much has been spoken about the volume of the single player portion. To verify we're still looking at around 5 hours for a standard playthrough? Aside from the multiplayer game, are there any replayability modes or features planned for the single player side?

Heh, they talk about the fake leak strategy right away.

I do recall a bunch of industry heads swearing up and down that the fake leak strategy didn't exist and that all the "leaks" pre-E3 back in the day were merely coincidental.

Did that Dead by Daylight mode ever come out? Cuz that sounds awesome. I haven't checked out the 3 remake yet and the last I heard about a multiplayer mode was that ReVerse thing.

So looking at that originally you were supposed to go to the police station before doing the downtown section and I'd assume you'd be doing that as Jill.

Even in this early version the clocktower was cut though.

No one benefits from acknowledging it. If you're an insider you go omg who would leak it ive been sitting on this cool info for TWO years. And as an industry member youd have no reason to actually acknowledge it.

Tbf id still presume the VAST majority of leaks aren't intentional. Of the dozens I've personally known beforehand, I havent ever heard of one being intentional, so either...the fact leaks are fake is kept internal as shit, or no one really cares about that fact.

Also, it confirms that their intention was always to make it the same lenght as the original RE3 was, aka 5 hours-ish.

Oh good so it's not only me.

Anyway, I can't never understand why they didn't just make a faithful remake like RE1R and RE2R... why they had to make very stupid unnecessary decision to cut out some of the most iconic areas of the franchise like the clock tower !!

The game could have been easily much more if they just added a 60 minutes of clock tower and 30 minutes of the cemetery \ park...

Hell just the clock tower alone would have made most of the people happy and pleased and praising it much more.

Resources pointed away from RE3R for Resistance and multiplayer monetization.

We already knew that, but sad to see the plan on paper. RE3 deserved better.

Why are people just taking this as real? We've seen 4ch stuff just as official-looking and plausible. Has some of this appeared before? Because something correlating with common suspicions or hopes don't make it real

Doesnt look too real. Especially that weird gems slide. Seems bizarre to believe that Capcom would do that again after SFxT was mauled when they tried a similar system.

Also, 4chan leaks can look "legit" if they want. I still remember a number of Era users believing a clearly fake RGG leak that featured Ryuji as lead character and that had "beta" screenshots mocked up to look like the real thing. So yeah, gonna need a better source on this one before believing it.

It matches the layout and style of the previous leak slides to a T, and its far too detailed and graphical. It's also not a set of wish fulfillment slides, it's fairly basic internal game business. The possibility of it being fake is astronomically low.

    This was in the big Capcom hack from last year, this is actually quite old by now.

    That said, rather entertaining that they planned to show RE3, then more RE3, then Resistance... but then almost did the exact opposite. A leak of YouTube thumbnails for "Project Resistance" a week before its reveal at TGS, then more info on Project Resistance the next year... and then surprising with RE3 reveal in December 2019.

    I guarentee you that development/idea presentations can look like that and be not 100% professional (If people question why images of other titles are used as a comparison like the Hearthstone example)

    It would be bizarre if Capcom did it again in a FIGHTING GAME, which is why it sucked
    And they aren't doing another gem system which is based on stats, which is what SFxT did
    The genre is what should be the focus there as the slide contents is just placeholder until they get a real idea of what they are doing specifically.
    LOTS of stat/property customization and competitive fighters dont really mix well. (I liked the Smash 4 special moves, sakurai pls bring them back...)

    (In case you want to use MvC Infinite as an example, those gems affected literal gameplay)
