Why is this relevant to Gaming, you ask?





I suspect that we'll get a Kojima Productions studio tour from Conan's perspective, in addition to other behind-the-scenes goodness.

Kojima asked them to hold the footage until after they show off what they have in store, first, so that could be as early as next Thursday at The Game Awards!

First thought: Detective Conan? That doesn't make sense, he is in Japan most of the time.

Second thought: Conan the Barbarian? Isn't the franchise dead?

No. He did open a LA branch of Kojipro (which mostly handled MGO) But they shut down not long after the mess.

Doesn't really look like much filming was going on but what do I know. Though I guess I don't know why he would have gone otherwise.

This airs in just under five hours! Looking forward to getting some behind-the-scenes with Kojima. Should be fun!

Conan did a pre-recorded video at several Game Awards shows so I thought maybe they were saving it for that, but that Q&A question makes it sound like we won't be seeing it for a while.

A bit of a bummer we didn't get a cool sneak peak but not being able to air it hopefully means that whatever cameo/bit they shot there is a bit more substantial than we originally believed.

I was really hoping when I saw this thread we'd get something soon, but yea it sounds a bit of a ways away.

I've never played a game made by Kojima that I've liked. Yet I will read up about every MGS game released, watch all the cutscenes on youtube, google the plots, and buy some of the games only to get through a few hours and put them down due to gameplay. Yet I'm going to buy whatever Playstation console released that is most powerful out there upon release. If it ends up being a PS4 it will be my 3rd. First on launch, which I traded in and only had to pay like $60 for a Switch and the second being that amazing looking Destiny Taken King white model that I bought at release with the intention of keeping it sealed and adding it to my collection. Ended up having to sell it a year or two later due to needing the cash.

I didn't know this either, and I have no idea where he made his previous games, but I always assumed it was Japan. Did he make his other games in the UK or something?

Thanks for reminding me. When I saw this thread pop up I searched Youtube and that came up but came back here and got side tracked and watched the video with the person that is teaching him etiquette in Japan (also quite funny). Gonna watch now.

Edit: Yea the one I mentioned is good, but this one has me dying. I had to pause it half way through just to post this. "You don't need to check with her, she's twelve!"

Hahaha yeah that part about you can hire them for 3 years was shocking and funny. Checking with the 12 year old line was really funny. How could shit like this he legal ? That can lead to all sorts of problems

I don't think it was a joke since he asked the man who manage the rent a family business. It's probably not a full on family-in-your-house though, it's probably like how you can also rent a girlfriend there?
