Comes from the guy who datamined almost all the patches.

Following texts were found among other datamined stuff:
  • Merge Xbox crown
  • Merge Psn crown
  • Merge Nintendo crown
  • Merge Steam Crown
  • Merge Discord Crown

It seems like Hi-Rez is bringing all of their games to the Switch! This is really great because they promised cross-play and voice chat for PC-console versions.

Realm Royale is a free-to-play battle royale game developed by Hi-Rez Studios. The game features multiple character classes each with unique abilities.[1][2] It is a spin-off of the hero shooter Paladins, where it originated as a game mode known as Paladins: Battlegrounds.[3][1][4] The game was released for Microsoft Windows via Steam's early access program in June 2018,[3] with versions for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One released two months later.[

Since it says Nintendo crown and not Switch crown, couldn't it be for 3DS?

I remember when this game was getting so much attention when it first dropped. People were heralding it as the next big BR, but it turned out to be rather ephemeral. Definitely a great cautionary tale as to the significance of stream popularity translating to long-term or commercial success. I didn't play it but from what I gathered they ended up overtuning it.

Kind of surprising to see a switch port this late. Wonder if the audience will turn up. In any case, more games is never a bad thing.

Hope so, tried on PS4 and had real fun with it. Like it more than Fortnite, actually !

HiRez is really killing with the Switch support!

They do great work on their Switch versions. Should be good stuff for the Nintendo community. It would double the options for Battle Royale.

There was also something on their official Twitter account that suggested Realm Royale for Switch.

They definitely gave us mixed signals at first, not sure if they changed FAQ later.

BTW, I just noticed something new:

Yes! We will be adding mouse and keyboard support to Xbox One alongside the launch of cross-play. We intend to add mouse and keyboard support to other platforms which support that input method as they join our cross-play environment.

Switch Paladins is currently cross play with xbox and in a couple of weeks Switch/PC/Xbox will all have cross play/progression.

Agreed that crossplay is the way to save games like Realm Royale from early deaths and Sony needs to get over itself because this unified future that benefits everyone is happening with or without them.

Sounds good, hopefully RR will be the same if it does release on the Switch.

Xbox = Xbox Live
PSN = Playstation Network
Nintendo = Nintendo Online

it does not refer to console names and no, there's no Nintendo Online on 3DS, only NN and NNID.
