My question is how does that work of you add the disc drive. To be clear, it's not built in. Those two plastic pieces are separate and need to be pushed into those two holes.
Picked up a disc drive a few weeks ago right after the announcement. Glad I did cuz that shit is sold out everywhere now
Did you expect a console with a 799 euro price point to sell out? PS5 PRO is going to sell to a very small niche.Yup, still available in every major European country. I thought for sure in its first day/month it would sell out. Not looking good.
Damn, really? Well today was a total bust thenIf you're in the US they're not taking preorders until Oct 10th.
It remains the same. The stand pieces go in between the two outer shells.
Yup. I haven't purchased a console gaming disc since the mid-PS3 era, but I love me some 4K UHD movies.for people who are buying PS5 Pros, are you also buying a disc drive?
Eventually...for people who are buying PS5 Pros, are you also buying a disc drive?
I was all digital on PS4 so I still have that whole library.for people who are buying PS5 Pros, are you also buying a disc drive?

I see.
Have some of you still not received your emails yet? Even after ordering over 10 hours ago.
Got 2 orders received showing on the PlayStation Direct site.
1 x PS5 Pro (Standard)
1 x Dualsense Edge (30th Ed.)
Assuming I'm all sorted and secured here?
I see.
Noob question, but is possible to detach your previous ps5's disc drive and put it on the pro?
for people who are buying PS5 Pros, are you also buying a disc drive?
First we complain about scarcity…Now we're talking about it flopping because you can still buy it like thats a bad thing. Relax.
In its first day? Yeah. I just can't see this thing sell well at all until a drastic price cut, if it ever happens. Like you said, a very small niche. Like, very very.Did you expect a console with a 799 euro price point to sell out? PS5 PRO is going to sell to a very small niche.
It me, I'm the niche. Care about performance, never going to go PC.In its first day? Yeah. I just can't see this thing sell well at all until a drastic price cut, if it ever happens. Like you said, a very small niche. Like, very very.
No. I haven't bought a disc since the 360/PS3 generation.for people who are buying PS5 Pros, are you also buying a disc drive?

I got a disc drive this morning with the Pro on a whim, even though I'll probably never use it since my library is 100% digital and I have a standalone Panasonic UHD player. FOMO collateral damage I guess, but it might come in handy.for people who are buying PS5 Pros, are you also buying a disc drive?
I'm in the same niche. It me, I'm the niche. Care about performance, never going to go PC.
Leave it to Era to immediately jump to extremes.First we complain about scarcity…Now we're talking about it flopping because you can still buy it like thats a bad thing. Relax.
Yeah, I didn't see it directly written confirmed like the disc drive was, but it looks exactly the same and I think they mentioned the dimensions of that part are the same in one of the videos hence how the drive will fit too, so I felt pretty confident to buy the stand too back when I bought the drive after the initial announcement was made.
Same. Well okay, I mess with the Steam Deck and whatever iterations it'll get in the future, but that's it I swear
Never. All digital all day.for people who are buying PS5 Pros, are you also buying a disc drive?

I think it will do similar numbers to the PS4 Pro.
I guess I'm the niche too? I play mainly single player games and like fancy graphics, and really don't want to build a PC until the 50xx cards are at the ti/super stage.
Nothing official yet but that's how it worked when I swapped from my base PS5 that was having issues overheating to a PS5 slim. I'd assume it'd work the same on the pro.Can you take your expansion SSD out of your current PS5 and stick it in the pro and play the games from it as long as you're signed into the Pro as the same account?
Ahh good to know! Thanks for pointing that out.To be clear, it's not built in. Those two plastic pieces are separate and need to be pushed into those two holes.

Yes. It's literally plug and play with HDD and SSD's you just have to be signed into your account so it can download all your game licences once before you can play offline again.
Awesome, thanks. I guess I'll download the older games that are enhanced for Pro to my SSD before it arrives.Nothing official yet but that's how it worked when I swapped from my base PS5 that was having issues overheating to a PS5 slim. I'd assume it'd work the same on the pro.
Ok for the M.2 SSD I dont have to move data then right? It wont ask to reformat the SSD when initialize the PS5 Pro?Yes. It's literally plug and play with HDD and SSD's you just have to be signed into your account so it can download all your game licences once before you can play offline again.
Yes. But more for films than games.for people who are buying PS5 Pros, are you also buying a disc drive?
Just make sure you back up your saves to the cloud. I'm assuming you have PS+Awesome, thanks. I guess I'll download the older games that are enhanced for Pro to my SSD before it arrives.
It did at one point. The PS5 Pro is still in stock on UK Direct. Surprising, I thought it would sell out 🤔
I just can't imagine doing this myself, not judging you just reflecting upon my own financials.
