Political Affiliation Quiz - Where do you stand?

These quizzes are obviously not infallible (didn't like the phrasing of some questions), but I always like to take them every year or so just to see where I currently stand. What results did you guys get? Did your results match what your expectations, or were you surprised?

Honestly, I thought I stood much more towards the center-left, but it seems like I'm a bit more liberal than I expected. As for the candidates, I'm leaning towards Joe B, so I was really surprised to see Oprah ahead of him LOL. I love Bernie, but I'm a little afraid of how he'd do in the general election.

Edit - The candidate choices seem super outdated, but at least the party choices seem to make sense.

Beto (my top choice atm) not appearing on the candidate list yet but Oprah and Michelle being on there makes me a little confused, but...

I feel like that section is inaccurate. Trump basically has no policy and even more "serious" conservative thinkers often act opposite of their supposed values anyway.

I guess historically the left isn't a huge fan of Mosanto but this is not equivalent to the GMO issue. The left hates any monopolistic industry.

Just from looking at these results would I be wrong in assuming it's really weighted like most political "quizes" and not something anyone should take seriously? (And may in fact be actively damaging to political understanding?)

It's weighted to only align people with popular American understandings of the terms, and the entire political scale they use is derived from current American politicians. Like, there was no option under gun control for taking guns away from the police(if taken from citizens as well). No answers to abolish the police, or to abolish ICE either, etc. It's also just kind of an outdated quiz.

Its funny bc the UK quiz I took just a few hours earlier mentioned the police being armed as a question.

It works okay as a first draft if it's just literally the 2016 quiz with some hot topic issues and Ben Shapiro. I think a proper quiz would have Beto and questions about the migrant camps, m4a, impeachment.

Maybe Kavanaugh or Supreme Court packing or statehood for DC and PR and others.
