As Dusk Falls - Uzzy - Out July 19th

The first game from studio Interior/Night, formed from Quantic Dream and Sony veterans, this interactive drama tells the stories of two entangled families in a robbery going disastrously wrong, letting you play out the lives of the characters from there, shaping their development and seeing who they become over thirty years. So far, so very Life is Strange/Heavy Rain, it even has the post chapter summary of decisions and interactive story tree first seen in Detroit: Become Human. I just hope it's a bit better written than that one!

Digimon Survive - Uzzy - Out July 28th

Digimon Survive sees a brand-new group of teenagers, led by Takuma Momozuka, get lost on a school camping trip, finding them transported to a strange new world of monsters and danger.

As they fight their way back home through an animated world of difficult decisions and deadly battles, players' choices throughout the game will impact the evolution of their monster allies, and the final ending. Battles in the game are fought in 2D, in a more classic SRPG style.

Eyes in the Dark - Oinone - Out July 14th

In search for her grandpa Victor, young girl Victoria Bloom has to enter the family's mansion, infested by evil creatures of the darkness. Her mighty weapon: a flashlight.
Eyes in the Dark is a rogue-like and y'all know what that means: Every run is different with the mansion changing constantly. Find different items for the fight against the darkness and get stronger with every run.
All of this in a quite intriguing look. Handdrawn like a children's book and monochromatic, with deep blacks and bright white, emphazising the battle of light against shadows.
If you itch to fight enemies with a flashlight, this game might entertain you while waiting for Alan Wake 2.

F1 22 - Uzzy - Out July 1st

The latest in the long running F1 series, with all the cars and drivers of the current season of F1. You too can rob Lewis Hamilton of his rightful championship, no I'm not still mad why would you say that..

Fire and Manuever - Uzzy - Out July 15th in Early Access

A new strategy game from, of all places, the team behind The Armchair Historian YouTuber. Set in the Victorian Age, you take charge of one of seven great powers of the period as they clash on the battlefields of Europe. Focusing purely on the military side of things, this looks to be a real sandbox of Victorian era warfare, British Highlanders fighting Prussians on the Steppes of Russia, that sort of thing. The game features an interesting simultaneous turn system, where both generals issue orders to their units, then see how they play out all together all at once. This forces you to predict your enemies actions, and work out a counter, then hope that you made the right move, with only the fate of Empire resting on it.

IMMORTALITY - Uzzy - Out July 26th

Marissa Marcel was a film star. She made three movies. But none of the movies was ever released. And Marissa Marcel disappeared.

An interactive trilogy from Sam Barlow, creator of Her Story.

Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series - Uzzy - Out July 7th

Not a STD, Klonoa is in fact a 3D side scrolling adventure game from the ancient times known as 1997. This remake sees two of the original titles return to modern systems, with updated graphics but classic gameplay.

Last Call BBS - Uzzy - Out July 5th in Early Access

The final game from Zachtronics sees you given access to an old retro Z5 Powerlance PC, loaded up with 8 classic puzzle games, matching tiles, solitaire, mastering automation.. and discovering secrets behind the makers of the PC, Sawayama Corporation.

Matchpoint - Tennis Championship - Uzzy - Out July 7th

Matchpoint - Tennis Championships is a modern take on tennis, featuring a true-to-life on-court experience supported by a deep career mode and unique rivalry system.

The game places a strong focus on tactical realism, positioning and aiming, allowing the player to move their superstar in exactly the right way to get the most out of their shots.

Monument Valley 1/2: Panoramic Edition - Uzzy - Out July 12th

The classic phone games, developed by UsTwo Games, are finally arriving on PC, bringing their emotional mix of art, music and puzzles to the landscape format.

Mothmen 1966 - Uzzy - Out July 14th

Mothmen 1966 is a 'Pixel Pulp' - a visual novel inspired by mid-20th century pulp fiction and 80s home computer graphics - set amongst the strange occurrences of the Leonid meteor shower of 1966.

River City Saga: Three Kingdoms - Uzzy - Out July 21st

Kunio, the beloved hot-blooded renegade, is back to wreak havoc in the world of the Three Kingdoms in this 2D side scrolling beat em up.
The story covers all the way from the Yellow Turban Rebellion to the Battle of Red Cliffs through 6 dense chapters.
This is a great chance to learn the basics of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms! Get ready for a whole new and exciting Three Kingdoms experience, with Kunio as the lead!

Rune Factory 5 - Uzzy - Out July 13th

From Marvelous Inc comes the latest in this long running JRPG series, featuring combat, farming, fishing and romance. As the newest ranger for the peacekeeping organization, SEED, protect the frontier town by rounding up rowdy monsters with your official SEED-issued spell seal. When not on a mission, work with the people of Rigbarth to help the town flourish through festivals and friendships!

As the balance of peace begins to shift, however, it comes time to prove yourself. Team up with townsfolk and embark on a grand adventure to unravel the mystery befalling the land, embracing your inner-power to halt the descent into chaos.

Stray - Oinone - Out July 19th

In a distant future, in a dystopian cyperpunkcity, seemingly abandoned by humans with only robots left, a cat tries to find its way back home.
Climb around the city, at the ground and on the rooftops. Solve little puzzles to overcome obstacles and be cautious of hostile creatures. Drink water from bowls, push things from shelves and just be cute whatever it is you're doing right now. Along the hard way, our furry hero befriends a tiny drone, that'll help on the journey.
What more can I say? I mean, you play a damn cat! If that's not reason enough to get the game, I honestly don't know what to tell you.

Sweet Transit - Uzzy - Out July 28th in Early Access

Sweet Transit is a unique city builder where the railway is king and trains are the sole means of transportation. Quaint villages will expand to bustling cities, farms to industrious factories, and steam-powered rail to combustious diesel... and beyond in this interconnected, train-driven world.

Wayward Strand - Uzzy - Out July 21st

Wayward Strand is a heartfelt story, told in a curious way. Hop aboard an airborne hospital to meet an eclectic, fully-voiced cast. Staff & patients carry on with their richly interwoven lives as time passes for everyone on board; each & every playthrough is an opportunity to discover something new.

Max Payne - Uzzy

May Payne turns 21 this month, so he's finally old enough to drink. In America anyway. He'll certainly need one, on the run, framed for murder, hunted by the cops and the mob. The alcohol might dull the senses, but it won't end the Payne.

A classic detective noir meets third person action game, Humphrey Bogart meets John Woo, Remedy's classic still holds up today, with it's highly stylised story and world told primarily through graphic novel pages, a very smart move given the state of 3D graphics at the time. The gameplay that allows you to create your own Hong Kong action spectaculars, gunning down mobsters in slow mo bullet time, more than holds up today, which is even more impressive when you think that these were the very early days of third person shooters, Remedy having to invent a template for them that would be followed in future, making Max Payne as foundational as Tomb Raider or Gears of War.

It's relatively short too, finishable in under eight hours. So lets raise a glass to Max on his birthday, and hit the mean streets of New York one more time. There's nothing left to lose..

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade - Uzzy

Step up to the oche and land that 7 dart finish to dethrone Wedge from the top of the scoring board. Tifa will be really impressed, I'm sure.

If you feel like spending a few hours on it, undervolting can go a long way to reduce temps by maybe 5 °C without any performance loss (or even performance gain) on the 5800X.

Yeah, I need to make some time to fiddle around with it a bit. I played around with Ryzen Master's curve optimizer and tweaked a couple of things in the BIOS, but I reverted the RM changes because they were causing PC crashes.

Magnificent thread as always.

Bit late asking but what happened to the PC gaming era GOTY results? I don't remember seeing them?

I think I'm mostly interested in Stray this month. And of course Capcom 2nd Arcade Stadium - Black Tiger the arcade GOAT!

I have a ton to play from previous months.

that new thread smell

Looks like a very slow month. Only interested in Stray and I will probably wait for reviews for that.
But will still be busy with FF7R, Ai:Nirvana Initiative and Forza DLC is finally hitting this month.

Still playing through MechWarrior 5 that I started for the first time roughly a month ago. Probably not gonna bother with the DLC but it's been a fun game overall.

Outer Wilds is next on my list, and then I might try Fortnite. Been wanting a nice multiplayer FPS/TPS and it's between that and the Overwatch 2 beta. Probably gonna let the game launch before I tough OW2.

Also picked up Resident Evil 5 on the Steam sale. Haven't played a RE game since 4 in the Wii so looking forward to it.

Still working slowly through FFVII:R, I think the game picked up nicely from when you team up with Aerith and onwards. I'm right after the Wall Market segment currently. That whole segment was pretty good fun. Writing hasn't been as terrible as earlier either.

If I feel like ravaging my budget a bit more after paying for my Deck, I'd like to get Digimon.

*remembers buying Max Payne in the summer of 10th grade* ... Jeez do I feel old.
Might as well do the monthly retro at least ,or try. My gaming has been pretty limited recently and some constipated neo-noir might be just the thing!

Bought *a ton* of games last week and will spend the month trying to get through some of them, but there are quite a few exciting releases in the coming week as well. Currently downloading F1 22, will probably buy Stray when it comes out and IMMORTALITY has been on top of my "most anticipated" lists for a while.

Thanks for the thread Uzzy. It's July, which means we're one month closer to Spider-Man on PC. I'm going to wrap up Mafia 3 in the next week then play through God of War before Spider-Man releases. That's my plan anyway.

Glad the steam sales last a while, still can't decide what to buy and what to wait for the next one.

Looks like my second Logitec G305 has the double click issue now. It's not even a year old. :/

Anyone got recommendations for a decent, not-super-expensive gaming mouse that is as lightweight as the G305, but doesn't require replacement once a year? Also needs to be wireless because I hate wired mice. The G305 is a great mouse, but I'm done with Logitec until they sort out their godawful switches.

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one who has double click issues with a Logitech mouse. It drives me insane.

Had the G102 with a similar problem, got a double-click issue in less than 1 year. Now I've been using Razer Viper Mini for a year and a half and it's been great. Granted it has a two-year warranty.

Stray looks like a very chill game, and the price looks right too. I still am meaning to pick up the Digimon Story Cybersleuth games, but Digimon Survive looks like fun too.

Two of my mates got the double clicking issues even with the pro superlight. Luckily mine is perfect

I would recommend you a mouse, I need to know your preference. Wired or wireless? And what's the max you're willing to pay?

I had two G305 start double clicking within 15 months. I don't know about your region but at least Logitech sends me a replacement within warranty at no cost and you get to keep the broken ones. You can try to recoup some of the costs by selling that and maybe use the broken ones as practice for soldering new switches into them one day.

Wireless mice in general seem pretty expensive though and battery life is terrible compared to the G305. A lot are around 70-100 hours best case scenario. I did start to look at optical switch mice. Razer has some smaller ones like the Viper Ultimate but uses proprietary charging or micro usb and you have to deal with Synapse software. The newer Viper V2 is really expensive. Roccat has a few I liked, Burst Pro (wired in my case) fits my hand nicely, they also have the Kone Pro Air. There are other brands that use Kailh switches like Endgame Gear XM2w and Pwnage Symm 2 but availability wasn't great for me (also XM2w is pretty new).

Good looking month. Got Last Call BBS already, waiting for physical goods to be delivered for it. Thanks for thread Uzzy! I got the 1st spot in darts in FFVIIR and recently beat Max Payne, won't replay it again in July though. :)

Logitech will send you a replacement if you start a ticket and they let you keep your broken one.
