The Switch's place in the grey market is already large. After the PS4 and Xbox One skidded by, I'd be skeptical.
HOWEVER the Vita was a HUGE underground hit in China and the Switch could totally fill that market now that consoles are legal.
Im scared by how big the number is gonna look for switch come March

Don't expect too much for something releasing this late, Nintendo isn't either.
Almost all of them are already localized in Chinese, it's just the government review process slowing them down.
because they probably aren't Switch devs yet?
Probably approval. The Chinese government has to approve games on a per game base...
it's been clarified that New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe is not actually bundled with a system, but a demo comes installed.
This is pretty much how online console subs came into being
From what I understand it's not expected to be huge out of the gate, but what are some realistic sales expectations for the Switch in China?
Prediction: 1 million by the end of this year. 800,000 is more of my lowest expected sales by the end of this year. From what I understand it's not expected to be huge out of the gate, but what are some realistic sales expectations for the Switch in China?

Who will be tallying the total? I don't know if China has something similar to NPD or Famitsu.I doubt it. It's been widely available in China since day 1 even without an official release.
No idea. I'm sure someone is though. China is big on data.Who will be tallying the total? I don't know if China has something similar to NPD or Famitsu.
Have they said what retailers will carry it ? I didn't see in the tweets.
They report box office numbers. So I expect the same to be true here.Does China allow for sales numbers to be released worldwide? For some reason I feel like I heard that they don't but I have no idea if that is just my brain being dumb.
