I've never heard of this game! I just looked at some videos and it looks fantastic, and its £3 on the UK eShop too! Will be buying now. Have that team made other games like that? I am absolutely LOVING Switch for its portable arcade games, its amazing and perfect for the sort of gaming I am mainly interested in these days.
Most definitely. Is the humor in West of Loathing better than that one Cactus "joke" in the eshop screenshot? Because it isn't funny.
Thanks!!Most definitely.
I didn't even think the trailer was funny but bought it anyway in good faith. I've been laughing out loud heartily the entire time. It's not really the kind of humor that works in screenshots.
Make sure to keep checking the bookshelf in your room at the start.
It's coming to the US eshop on the same date.Hang on, The Infectious Madness of Doctor Dekkar is coming to the Switch Europe eShop? Ah man that's a game I've been wanting to play on Steam but I'd love for it to make it to the NA shop. As someone who loved Contradiction Spot the Liar, this could be up my alley. Also Ryan Rand from Contradiction is in Doctor Dekkar.
YES! Thanks for the news! Now I need Contradiction on there to double dip!
NO!!!In case nobody noticed, the Mario Tennis demo can be played if downloaded from the japanese eshop.
And it seems damn great so far.
Both are true though!
EU should be live as well
Wasn't Just Beats & Shapes supposed to have a demo? Also it's nowhere to be found on EU eShops, not even in the coming soon section. Game looks legit great, tho $20 is a tad expensive for me atm but maybe I'll be able to snag it for €15 tops on some eShop.
Pirate Pop Plus I fear without leaderboards it won't hold my interest, like the fantastic RunGunJump. :( It's only
€4 but still I know it will annoy me and even more if the offline leaderboards aren't properly sorted by modifiers like Epylexia wrote (btw your username always makes me think of Epyx ahhhhh good old C64 days!!)
GRIDD: RETROENHANCED looks AWESOME. Hopefully it'll be a great port
I'm probably missing something, but how can I see if a game can be played with touch controls? Take Mushroom Wars 2 for example or Yesterday Origins. It notes the pro-controller under supported controllers, but that's it? And that one is basically a given, whereas touch controls aren't. Reviews dont' always mention it either (if there are any!), adding to the uncertainty.
West of Loathing is pretty amazing. I was wrong to judge it by its appearance. That's certainly half of its charm, tbh.
The humor is indeed hilarious, i haven't laughed out loud this much at a video game since... i mean, I don't even know when.
I'm so not one for point and clicks but this is very palatable. Reminds me of the trading meta game in Link's Awakening.
Mediocre mobile action game

Sorry for the double post, but I just got an email with my Bloodstained: Circle of the Whatever This Castlevania Game is called, from Fangamer for backing Bloodstained, and the Switch codes are out!!!

Better time frame than I expected, given the delay, and the Steam access code being good til June 8th.
Does anybody think that Sushi Striker could be a better playing experience on the 3DS? Simply because of the stylus control? Using the touchscreen in the demo on the Switch means that my hand obscures a lot of the rows. I think I prefer button controls for the Switch demo. BUT this game looks like using stylus could be the best control method. Only problem with the 3DS version is that I don't think the online will be as populated as the Switch version. Cheaper though.
I havent received the email but checked my Survey (where they sent the temp steam codes) and it was there already! GOGOGOI just got it and I love it! Is a pretty decent action game by itself but the true joy of it comes whenever you refuse to follow the narrator's direction and he constantly breaks the 4th wall and you learn more about the whole proccess of creating this game that might or might not be true.
What?! I haven't received mine yet!

Guys, Just Shapes & Beats is SO damn fun.
I played the game last year at PAX East and knew that it would be fun with friends, but I wasn't expecting the single-player story mode to be as fun as it has been. It's taken me totally by surprise in a good way. This game was obviously designed and developed by people who love video games. I've also had a ton of fun playing challenges online with randoms.
Just Shapes and Beats is so good. Singleplayer is fairly challenging but there's also Casual mode if you just wanna get through it. But multiplayer is super fun. So many Switch games are local multiplayer only so it's refreshing to have one that's also online for when I don't have friends around.
Thanks for the heads up! I didn't get an email but I checked my backer page and sure enough, the Switch code was there. What a nice way to start the weekend!
Any love / impressions of Slain or Elliot Quest on Switch? Both are on sale and at tempting prices.
It really is exactly what it looks like - a very mellow exploration game in a pretty 3D landscape that sits somewhere between "Breath of the Wild" and "Fantasy Life". Since there's no combat, the gameplay is all about poking around the landscape for chests/matarials, crafting items to finish quests (some of which stick around long-term, like bridges), or running any of the small farms the game lets you put up. It isn't a very deep title in terms of gameplay mechanics, but it does offer a lot of breadth in terms of things to do and it is very relaxing to just wander from place-to-place across the lush countryside.I've been going back & fourth contemplating picking up Yonder.
Love 'relaxing' type games like Stardew Valley and the art style looks really nice. For every glowing review is a comment about how it's shallow and feels like 'something is missing'.
Anyone feel like swaying me one way or another?
Reminds me of the good old days when Steam Sales didn't suck.
https://my.nintendo.com/about_gold_pointMario Tennis is offering double gold coins for pre-ordering.
Can someone translate that to dollars or cents for me, please.
I'm on the cusp of considering digital only now that GCU is ending.
I didn't take to the demo for a few reasons but controls were a part of it. Reading your post makes me want to try it screen only since using the touch screen with joycons attached was awkward so I defaulted to the stick. I wonder if there were or are plans to add a TATE/vertical mode to mimic the layout of the 3DS. I imagine it would be easier to get your thumbs to where they need to be while still keeping a good grip on the screen.I found that the Switch UI fairly comfortable once I detached the Joy-Cons and played the game with my thumbs on the screen, but you can definitely tell that this was originally designed for the 3DS (just look at the clarity of separation between the playable space of the shared lane and your opponent's side of the table), and I'm weighing the same question in my head.

it says it on the product page. However they 300 points come days after it unlocks, as opposed to the regular 300 points which you get as soon as you are charged.Where is this offer being shown? The eShop website still just shows 300 coins for purchasing, which is the standard 5% rate.

I can't find the answer to this anywhere: Is Yoku's Island Express 60 fps in Switch?

Absolutely. 60 fps both portable and docked, 1080p docked. 720 undocked. A very good and solid port IMO.
The only drops are when you get the ability to jump quickly between different sections of the maps. Sometimes, the game stops for loading a new chunk of the map. But that ability isn't gameplay related.
