"Betting on more creative projects is part of a publisher's strategy," continues Céline Tellier. It is a risk taking, especially as the level of profitability of a game can vary greatly, with marketing costs sometimes equal to development costs. "
These costs are estimated at €300,000 per month to operate the Wild Sheep Studio factory. And if the release date of Wild is not defined, the growth of the small company continues with the relocation to the new premises, which can accommodate different teams (sound design, graphic designers, programmers, special effects specialists) or still production.
Wild Sheep Studio is expected to quickly reach 50 employees and are now looking to attract talent from the industry. These senior profiles with more than five years of experience or with a game already released to their credit, are rare and in demand. But Wild Sheep Studio hopes to attract them to Montpellier thanks to the effervescence surrounding the creation of Wild.
The company will recruit on four important technical positions: programming/coding, gameplay, tools and graphics. To anticipate the tasks inherent to this recruitment campaign and to support its growth, Wild Sheep Studio is also looking for an HR employee.
