There aren't any download cards for DQB2.
Hm the post after yours seems to contradict that? Btw on a totally separate note, could you add Mario Party 8 to your Mario Party comparison? That or the titles Super Mario Party needs to pass at least (Some N64 or GC MPs sold up to 700-900K, not sure if we have the weekly data for those).

it's just a hiring ad, so there's not much technical detail. they are hiring for a lot of positions, so they're definitely getting steady work if they're still expanding

Aostia will be happy with Switch YTD and last YTD Famitsu sales because his theory was right. Completely flat.

Bandai is the publisher that is shifting to Switch fast and the publisher that benefits the most.

Can anyone explain the huge discrepancy between the two different sales trackers? I find it really weird.

280k and 300k is not huge difference, is very small.

Builders 2 is a little bigger but the gap will probably close the following weeks.

Switch software performance, as other people pointed out, is crazy when looking at Famitsu.

Damista is officially above 100k units. FighterZ is also doing pretty well though worse than XenoVerse 2 (the appeal was also smaller)—this should incentivise Bamco to release DB games on Switch simultaneously with the other versions.

They track different stores

They might have different samples of stores but differences might also be due to different estimation techniques.

Famista looks so cool and I find baseball boring af. I wish this was the olden days when we'd get localized games stripped off their licenses.

24./21. [NSW] FIFA 19 # <SPT> (Electronic Arts) {2018.09.28} (¥5.800) - 7.380 / 54.113 <60-80%> (+78%)

Last year's FIFA Switch performance:

Week 51: 4.302 / 38.650
Week 52: 11.263 / 49.913
Week 53: 7.390 / 57.303

The game is performing more or less like last year which is a very good sign. FIFA is also a game that people might buy more and more on the eShop.

I wonder if Code Vein will do better than God Eater 3

lol

I expect Code Vein to bomb pretty hard (sub 100k opening) but maybe I'm wrong.

Famista looks so cool and I find baseball boring af. I wish this was the olden days when we'd get localized games stripped off their licenses.

These are Famitsu data about 3DS Famista games:

3DS Pro Baseball Famista Climax 43.572 113.459 Bandai Namco 20/04/2017
3DS Pro Baseball Famista Returns 24.775 77.932 Bandai Namco 08/10/2015
3DS Pro Baseball Famista 2011 13.234 47.873 Bandai Namco 31/03/2011

IIRC, there are more updated data but I don't remember whether they are from MC or from Famitsu. Chris1964 , do you have them.

Anyway, the Switch game is doing very well.

With two weeks of big sales left, there's no reason to think FighterZ on Switch won't reach FighterZ on PS4 in retail sales.

DQB 2016(PS4/PSV/PS3) - 792.628

In 2017 CY, they added below 100K sales across PS4/PSV/PS3. With the Switch version it's likely DQB will pass one million combined across 4 different platforms.

Now DQB2 is opening well below the initial launch of DQB, but I think it will surpass 400K units sold by Week 1, 2019. This will mean that they would sell around 70-90% of the initial shipment. PS4 version will likely end up around 250K lifetime. Question is about legs of Switch version, so that will be interesting to see next year. Will it continue to sell despite it's high price, will SE drop the price, will there be updates - in any-case I won't write the game off just yet. It's likely be down compared to DQB but that game came out on 4 platforms to get close to 1 million. If DQB2 is able to eventually get to 750K units in Japan on Switch/PS4 I'd say it's successful. First week sales shouldn't be a barometer for a Switch title - even Octopath got some legs which is not very common for JRPG titles that have stock problems.

What are everyone else's expectations for DQB2 LTD?

Famitsu numbers are quite better for Dragon Quest Builders 2. PS4 version is basically flat so the game started 100k below the first entry. The first entry was also on 3 platforms at launch and the lead SKU was also significantly cheaper. 8th best launch on Switch.

Regarding Katamari, the game's sell through is really encouraging given how it was after the 1st day. The game should have legs and be a moderate success.

Guess no one cares about Katamari and Neptunia bombing

Every game doesn't need to sell huge amounts to be a success. Especially Katamaria like I mentionned above.

Katamari has probably already made it's production costs back. It is also performing well worldwide on the eShop.

As for Nep Nep? Who knows? And frankly who cares? They keep crapping these titles out one after another and didn't even bother to release the Switch version in Japan (when the series historically performs best on handhelds). If Compile Heart doesn't even care about it, why should we?

What is going on.

Alternatively this means the last 6 pages of discussion are now worthless. As is the MC thread creed.

Bottom of the chart is interesting
Dk TF at 230k, Mario Maker nearing 1.2M

DQB2 at 209k (108/101 in PS4 SKU favour) with 50% sell-through.

Smash doing well as expected. Honestly wondering if the season pass sells well might we get a second season in 2020?

"Labo will destroy the charts during the Holidays" vibes.
Go back to the reveal thread and have some just desserts over the fans calling us old and lame for predicting it would bomb. It's something

I admit that I thought Labo would've been much more popular than it turned out to be. I expected a slow build-up toward the holidays, thanks to positive word of mouth etc, but unfortunately, the different kits didn't make much of an appearance in the charts in the last couple of weeks.

He is a troll. In fact, mods told him that he cant make Labo threads anymore, so he just goes to any threads that mention Labo and does his thing.
