Fun fact: it's fucking awesome, go watch it
Thread is very good and/or very bad, so still works.might be because I'm on my phone, but that's solid even for today.
Is the monkey in the driver's seat also holding the shotgun???
Ah, makes sense.
The animation in this movie holds up really well for something from 96. I think the CGI has actually aged better then the actual sets and costumes. Almost anything that isn't the dragon looks surprisingly cheap these days.
Yeah, I'm watching some clips, and the costumes look on par with the Xena or Hercules shows. The animation in this movie holds up really well for something from 96. Reboot is not bad CGI, it's just early CGI.
Mainframe was on the tip of the spear, and with a kid's tv show budget to boot.
Principal photography was done with a very inexperienced crew.
Fifth Element I thought was ahead of its time and holds up well
Ha, I knew jumanji was gonna come up. But shockingly I don't think the cgi monkeys are that bad in 4k feel like they are some how worse in 1080p.
Just watched Jumanji (rewatching after watching the Rock version) the other day and this CGI was so bad it was wonderful.
There are some CG scenes in JP that look as good as films that are released today.I consider Jurassic Park (1993) was one of the best.
Then again, I was a kid back in 1993, and thought the CGs were fantastic & realistic.
i remember thinking even back then how bad this looked, even though it was one of the first examples of cgi i've ever seen.
