They were acting like the caricature was "mean". For example Sarah Palin called him a "bully".
Then they also took exception to his Christian comment. They remarked on her father Mike Huckabee and their family history of "deep Christian faith".
It was ridiculous considering what their own network said and did to Obama and Hillary.
Political caricature with a pretty apt description.

Trump is literally in the middle of a tiff vs. a porn star he allegedly cheated on his wife with and paid to silence. Trump fucking ran on "grab 'em by the pussy" and facing a suit from victims of sexual assault targeted by him. It's insane that anyone in the GOP dares have the gall to suddenly care about sexism or the advancement of women because of this "offensive" painting.
A week from now she'll be explaining what the president "meant to say" when he insults a woman or minority on Twitter, so excuse me if I don't give much of a fuck.
I completely agree with you. As bad as Spicer was, you could tell he was struggling to report the lies the administration wanted him to put out there. Sanders does it effortlessly and comfortably each and every time.
Political painter paints political subject. Not exactly shocking. Nor is handful of whiny conservative snowflakes getting worked up about it. It's hardly even the most outrageous of Carrey's work. I suspect the outrage is largely driven by people who have no idea that Carrey is and has been a painter for some time, and that he regularly deals with political issues.
I think the line is drawn at depictions of them being killed. Everything else is fair game. Carrey's done nothing wrong in this instance.
I think it's worth pointing out when there is outrage on left it's generally a shame of public opinion, it's Twitter and social media blowing up. When republicans are pissy it's all the conservative news talks about, they sue and insult whoever is behind it and try to end their career directly. They need to drudge up support for their dumb crusades.

Yeah but this one is about a member of Trump's team.

I read all of the text of the OP and then scrolled down to the picture and could not stop myself from laughing. I watch the Press Conference every time it goes live and it's very difficult to feel any empathy towards that person. Jim Carrey is an odd person no doubt, but this is pretty great.

Pretty impressive caricature. I could tell it was her right away! I'm really not seeing anything sexist about it, he's not painting her fat or to look any more unflattering than his male political caricatures. The right loves to try to hide under the veil of progressive excuses to be offended only when it suits them.
