I always find it funny how Nintendo is the top publisher followed by The Pokemon Company. It's like a guy accepting his gold medal and then putting on a mask to accept the silver as well.

I always find it funny how Nintendo is the top publisher followed by The Pokemon Company. It's like a guy accepting his gold medal and then putting on a mask to accept the silver as well.
Technically speaking, Nintendo only controls 1/3 of The Pokémon Company (plus whatever undisclosed percentage Nintendo has of Creatures). TPC mostly operates independently, especially in Japan.

I was fully expecting the "Well actually..." post. But yes, I know this info already. But it's semantics. It's a Pokemon established by Nintendo for the purposes of selling and promoting a Nintendo franchise that is sold almost exclusively (some games are on mobile) on Nintendo hardware.
