there's no dislike button on tiktok. i thought just swiping away instantly would make the algo get the message but apparantly not.
I see a lot of videos making fun of him, but I've never once seen a video of him. I'm not even sure what he looks like.

That usually works a lot better. Sometimes it takes a second longer to register that you are watching chuds, and then it thinks you're interested in chuds. Or it might offer you similar content at a later time when it thinks you might be interested then. The "not interested" button is a lot more definitive, it means I'm not bothered by any MAGA or Jordan Peterson videos ever again.
I haven't seen a single video of or about him on my fyp. Must be someone in your friends/family that is very interested in it, or you look up things related.
This is not correct. Tap and hold the video and select 'not interested', Also you can go to the channel and block them.

Use the block feature and also the "not interested" option as well. Curation is the path to true happiness.

To be honest, now that I think about it, it's a bit shit, isn't it? I rarely find something these days that makes me want to look up a person or find something new and interesting that I could follow up on, that used to happen all the time in the beginning, but the algorithm doesn't really manage to do that anymore.

The only time I see this parasite is when I see creators put him down or sound the alarm on the toxic bullshit he's spouting. My FYP is the gays having fun, Nathaniel B, and obscure humor. I've been on TikTok since 2018 so my FYP is impeccable because I've really trained the algo. Sometimes it tries to give me mainstream videos with 2+ million views and I long press and say not interested. Let me be in my little corner and stop trying to Facebook-ify my feed with the shit the normies laugh at.

In before you're told that if you get Tate videos it means you like him because the algorithm is so good lol. I'll be honest I don't think the algorithm is that remarkable tbh. I think the adoration of the algorithm is way overblown. Also selecting "not interested" doesn't do shit a lot of the time. I still get random live feeds of people selling bags of shitty crystals and I always select not interested.

I'm not talking about on TikTok.
I can start a new account on a new phone with my other socials logged in, and in a week without liking or following anyone, it'll be the same videos currently on my FYP... I know because I tried it because I was told online that tiktok was all animals and dances, and that is not what I experienced. It's grabbing a lot of data from a lot of other sources on your device, or what devices you're near.
Most of the times he pops up on my feed it's just people making fun of him. Otherwise my fyp is just thirst traps, cooking, and videogame stuff.
