I just finished the first game (was free on Steam to promote the sequel) and it was quite solid.
It's essentially Hotline Miami but more 'tacticool' (you have a loadout, you can go full stealth, go prone, shoot out lights etc)
It's doesn't have the more interesting narrative meta layer of Hotline Miami though, as it's just a very basic revenge story.
