How do you pronounce Nintendo's first home console?

I know recently Nintendo confirmed that it is pronounced "Ness" but all my life I've heard every single person pronounce it differently from the last so I'm wondering what the pre-dominant way is these days.
Personally I've been partial to just saying En-E-Ess though it's a little inconsistent with me calling SNES the Super Nintendo.

Just Nintendo, and the little cartridges were the "family "

Then it was the Super Nintendo.

NES and SNES were terms I learned until I started reading US game media.

For whatever reason, and I don't know why I do this, I call it the NES by spelling out the abbreviation, but I call the SNES the Super Nintendo.

But the next console is pronounced the "Super Ness," or just the "Super Nintendo,." Can't explain that.

How it's always been in the UK.

Seeing people spell it out is always slightly weird. Especially for the SNES (Snez), hearing people going Esss En E Esss makes me think I'm back watching knightmare or something lol. SPELLCASTING

I say "Ness" if I pronounce those letters.

But the natural name I've always given it was ... Nintendo Ordinaire.

I say NES as En E Ess. But I also call the SNES the Super Nintendo, so...

Also, I think Ness is acceptable. Nezz and Snezz give me pain.

Man this makes me feel old.

In our neighborhood me and my friends always referred to it by either calling it Nintendo or saying the letters N-E-S. The world is so different now. Everyone kind of discovered this stuff on their own back then and it allowed for a lot of people to do something as simple as naming or pronouncing a product differently.

I pronounced the letters back in the day when I was a child and the thing was new, everyone else called it an N-E-S too.

Now that I'm older I just call it a 'ness', I don't like saying the letters.

Grandparents still call every console a Nintendo though.

I would think because Nintendo could be any Nintendo console to some people and even includes PlayStations and Xboxes to others still. Super Nintendo, it's already clear which one you're talking about.

I actually do the same thing.

As a kid it was "Nintendo", but now it's just "NES" as if it were a single word. The SNES is "Super Nintendo" always and that won't change.
