Yeah whats gamelab. If it's some kind of educational thing I wouldn't expect any kind of announcement.

It's a yearly conference and industry award which usually gathers triple-A dev and exec speakers in Barcelona, but this year it's a free, digital event. It meant announcements some times, but it's an interesting stop on the way nontheless in terms of next-gen talk at the very least.

Nice PS and MC. Maybe we get a better impression of what to expect from next gen in the next years.

Calling it now, the only way Phil would agree to do this keynote is if Xbox had secretly bought SEGA.

I literally just realized the MS head is "PS" (as in PlayStation) and the PS architect is "MC" (as in Master Chief or perhaps even Microsoft, since "Cerny" is pronounced with an S sound).

What is this conspiracy

lol. I was thinking the same thing. Perhaps Spencer will talk about the PS5 SSD and the transformative gameplay it will usher :P

Seriously though. I am looking forward to both Spencer and Cerny's respective talks.

Nah I don't expect anything like that PS5-related, more like two legendary creators talking past, present and future, which could ofc hint at how next-gen games will play.

In terms of Spencer though I do expect him focusing on Xbox Series X and Game Pass. Timing is just perfect to keep fans and gamers in general interested until a more dedicated event happens in July.

The keynote / talk now has the official title of "On the verge of a new generation", which I would say has to have to do with some good Xbox Series X talking if you ask me :P

It'll be tomorrow, Wed 24 at 6-7 PM CEST. Wonder if it'll take the full hour.

Flight Simulator will for sure be a nice benchmark. Mentioning fps and low latency though as main next-gen benefits has me puzzled...

All Access being a big part of launch could be huge, hopefully it comes to Canada because prices right now are nuts for video games.
