WB's presentation at CinemaCon today so they're probably showing the trailer there before releasing it online this week.

Cool!

I really hope this isn't a trainwreck. Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker in a Scorsese-influenced origin film is such a cool idea. It might get more people to check out the King of Comedy too, which is an overlooked gem.

As soon as they announced Phoenix was on board, I've had nothing but confidence in the project. Hopefully, we see a trailer soon.

I can't believe this is actually coming out. It always seemed like one of those limbo projects.

Suicide Squad was such a disgustingly awful mess that I have zero interest in the new Joker film. DC has lost my faith in their ability to handle the character properly, new actor or not.

Great poster.

I feel like this first trailer is going to have to really knock it out of the park and show people what Warners are trying to do here.

We shall see.

See, I don't get this take at all. Leto's Joker was hardly some outlier; his version was nothing more than a variant of the gangster-type dapper Joker that's shown up in the comics repeatedly.

It's cool if people don't like that variant but he's actually a pretty close approximation to the comics - in some ways the closest approximation in the literal sense.

Everything I've seen so far looks great and reminds me of "The King of Comedy", which is a very good thing.

The Joker is a played out character. He's been done well in the past but at this point he's been done to death. Hard pass on this.
