Astro's had a meteoric rise over the past few years. After his unassuming debut as a part of Playroom VR, he spun out into his own game (which happens to be the most revolutionary 3D platformer since Mario 64) in Astro Bot: Rescue Mission, and now his next game, Astro's Playroom, will be featured as a free pack-in for all PS5 owners, which will give him a lot more mainstream awareness. It's safe to say that the future looks bright for the charming little robot.
My question to you all is, despite the fact that he's a relatively new mascot for PlayStation, do you think Astro Bot has already secured the position as Sony's best mascot? Personally, I'd say yes, given the way that Astro Bot encapsulates a celebration of PlayStation as a whole:

My question to you all is, despite the fact that he's a relatively new mascot for PlayStation, do you think Astro Bot has already secured the position as Sony's best mascot? Personally, I'd say yes, given the way that Astro Bot encapsulates a celebration of PlayStation as a whole:
- His design mirrors the black/white/blue color scheme of PlayStation
- The level design in his games feature aspects of PlayStation hardware (the button symbols as flowers, components like SSD/GPU/cooling/memory serving as themes for different levels, etc.)
- His games are great showcases for what the hardware can do (Rescue Mission for PSVR, Astro's Playroom for PS5 capabilities)
- He has an unbelievable amount of charm
- Astro's Playroom has all sorts of nods to other PlayStation IP (God of War, Sly Cooper, etc.), which reinforces the notion that Astro's games are a hub to celebrate PlayStation as a whole
