You know, I wonder how much this coronavirus thing would be different given that you got a large mix of folks that
a) don't believe it no matter what
b) don't believe it because it's a liberal conspiracy
c) wouldn't follow mask orders from a woman
d) don't care

I am certain it would be better, but not sure how much. It just seems that America was set up to suck at global pandemics given how much states have control and how dumb we are

"Rodham" isn't "What if Hillary won in 2016?" it's "What if Hillary never married Bill?" It's an alternate history about Young Hillary.

I'd give this a watch. People forget how compelling and, gasp, radical Hillary Rodham was considered to be in her younger years.

I imagine it would be similar to the FX show "Mrs. America" in its themes.

Some time in the 90s, a teenaged Chelsea Clinton slammed her door shut, yelled "I wish I was never born", and this tv show echoed out the other side 30 years later.

There should be a limit to how long ago your "alt history" series can be set ... like nobody should be alive

or else it just sounds like those Supernatural fanfictions that ships the ACTORS =P

I think it's an interesting premise - as interesting as any other pitch at alternate history, at least. I read a Vox review of the book and while it seems to dip into some "post-2016 fantasizing," the ultimate story seems to be more about the gender politics of Bill and Hillary. What sort of people would they end up as if they weren't tied together? You can get something compelling out of that.

It's not going to be as cool as that one where Walt Disney becomes President instead of Eisenhower and the America ends up in some sort of fascist dystopia, though.

While I think the premise is distasteful and kind of creepy, who am I kidding, I'd probably give it a watch.

Oh I thought this was going to be an alt-history series where Hillary won in 2016, and I'm like..... we really don't need this fanfic.

But an alt-history about Hillary Rodham never marrying Bill Clinton is interesting. I don't think we need a TV show, though.

I was born in the mid-80s and so while I grew up during the Clinton administration, I didn't really follow the rise of the Clinton family much growing up, not until really the Clinton scandal with Monica Lewinsky, but I was only a teenager and I followed the most lurid details. THis PBS Frontline doc about Trump and Hillary Clinton was really interesting for me, back in 2016. Thought it was great seeing Hillary Rodham/Clinton's rise through public life.

Just watch this small segment from 0:07:30 about Hillary's early political celebrity with Bill in Arkansas:

- YouTube

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

If there could ever be a Ken Burns esque 'The Clintons' similar to 'The Roosevelts,' but with enough time and distance to take the edge off the partisan hackery, it'll be great. She's one of the most interesting people of the 20th and 21st century so far.

But this series .... I can't say I'll be signing up to Hulu to watch it.

Some real Cult of Personality shit.

Or is it more like a "Dr. Robotnik Puts His Face On Everything" sort of situation?

Wonder what Bill thought of the book lol.

I did enjoy that documentary they did for Hilary, but this seems like a weird idea for a show. It did seem like she was headed in a completely different direction in her life, before deciding to move out to Arkansas with Clinton. But I dunno if I need a show for this.

apparently it has a LOT of graphic sex scenes. so, par for the course for fan fiction
wtf

Wonder who they get to even play her. Herself?

Rodham Is Pantsuit Nation Erotica

Since 2007, Jezebel has been the Internet's most treasured source for everything celebrities, sex, and politics...with teeth.

"Your outsides are attractive all by themselves. I don't know if I'm supposed to say this during the women's movement, but you have great tits. And your little waist, and your nice soft bum, and your delicious honey pot..."

I joined Bill in bed, and when I was lying on my back naked and he was lying on top of me naked, he looked at me and smiled. He said, "Hillary, I really enjoy discussing theology with you. I also enjoy doing lots of other things with you," and then he plunged inside me.
We were on the highway, not close to other cars or trucks, and I reached up to my hips, hooked my thumbs into the waistband of my underwear, and pulled them to my ankles, above my sandals, without taking them off.

"Please don't get pulled over," I said, and after that I really couldn't speak. I was writhing against his fingers. I lasted about two minutes, and then I was saying as quietly as I could, "Oh, baby. Bill. Bill. Baby, I love you so much." He stopped moving his fingers and just cupped me, and I whimpered incoherently.

Wonder what Bill thought of the book lol.
