I was suffering from choice paralysis while looking at my Steam library and began to wonder if there were a tool to gauge how large your library is...even when not installed. Well, it exists:

Depending on your library size, it can take a while to calculate. My synopsis is below.

Over the last 16 years, you've spent 4328.2 hours playing this selection, which includes 1001 items, is valued at $15279.39, and requires 5437.1 GB

While my normal (current) value is over 15k, I checked steam and saw that I've only spent $2,870.32 at the actual portal. Everything else came from external sources...tons of keys from Humble Bundle, CD Keys, etc.

What's yours?

It finally generated for me but was missing the info lol ( e.g. your playtime is and your spent games is $) but did have all my games listed.

Shame tho, for 7 years I had to play games in offline mode mostly and the times wouldn't track :( stuff like Metal Gear Solid V shows a couple of hours played despite my save saying 90hours or so.

Same. But there are actual working steam account value calculators on the internet.

Oh yea the value calculators work I've done them before. I just hate that my playtime is off in so many games. I have games I have played to completion that say 2mins played in them (because I had to boot them once with steam in online mode before playing them in offline).

Just a little OCD thing that my playtimes are wildy inaccurate. A shame because I love seeing my personal game stats. That same trigger in my brain that loves shit like Trophies an that.

Yay, worked in the end. But yea time played will be off. Plenty of 100hour games I've got that show barely any playtime. Still way too much in my backlog too.

My results were blank then I waited about 2 minutes and it filled in. I have a worrying large library, but I already knew that.

The site takes a crazy long time to load, probably pulling too much data all at once. Maybe the dev can adjust to make it load more entries upon click.

Oof. The playtime vs. number of games is pretty sad. I don't think this Steam Gauge is too accurate though, as my actual Steam profile says I have 2,206, less than what it declared (I don't have any hidden games either).

that being said both the hours and the value are greatly inflated as a lot of those games were from bundles and a number of those hours are from farming for cards :P

It's neat I only need 5tb to install my steam library though :P

I could likely get the thing up past 30k if I just added all the extra humble keys I have :P

I slowly get motivated to go through them from time to time and figure out which ones I want and which ones to give away. I gave away like 50 games in the giveaway thread this month and like 150 of them last year lol.

So just hang out there and you will likely see more given away by me at some point.

Car sized gaming backlog right there. Even considering that I 'spent' US$1,451 or so natively on the Steam store, everything else was from bundles/humble/keys.
