Look, if you want to come back and show the world you've learned your lesson and you're a changed person, comedy deals and public tours are probably the wrong move.
So he's gonna go around and lecture people on how to be better citizens? That's fucking rich. I've never once gotten the impression that he is remorseful for what he's done.
I'd love to be in the crowd for the first show when people start to boo him and call him a rapist.
The protests are going to be epic. Even if somehow, you can't bring yourself to believe that he did it, why would anyone cross a picket line just to see some stand-up comedy?

I kinda disagree -- I feel like artists using their art to explore and explain their rehabilitation is a perfectly valid avenue for doing that. BUT I also happen to think a serial rapist who has never expressed remorse or contrition or even really confession does not really qualify to begin with!
A lot of people on the right. Cosby has always enjoyed telling Black America how to behave and this fits their overall narrative.

Forget enjoying retirement - enjoy getting out of an effectively life sentence in jail on a technicality, rapist.
I feel like that's better received if you do something privately on your own term first, not something that asks viewers to give you the benefit of the doubt and hand you money first.
So I think this is a pretty ballsy move for any condemned artist, much less a serial rapist 🙃
