According to Biohazardcast, they have some info for RE8 from some Testers, they talk about the way the title will be presented, the Main Characters (Ethan and Chris), How Chris will look in the game and some of his role in the game, the Enemies and the nature of the game like Hallucinations and European Setting, Game is stated to be released Q1 2021 but Coronavirus may change that

The divisive appearance of one Chris Redfield in the finale (and DLC) of 7 set a rough precedent for recurring characters in the new engine. Thankfully, the remakes have since fixed that worry, but Chris has yet to appear since.

According to the leak, Chris will be playing an integral part in 8. He appears in flashbacks surrounding Ethan, Mia, and apparently their baby. What this baby has to do with the narrative is as of yet unclear. That being said, Chris doesn't seem to be looking very heroic this time around. It appears that in a flashback sequence Chris can be seen shooting one of them while breaking into their home.

So has Chris gone deep cover, or has all of the years staring into the abyss finally caught up with him?

Rely on horror has further details such as a Gorilla-like man, villager interactions, and specifics on the opening of the game.

Guess this is the article that Dusk Golem was hinting at?

edit: Or not, seems strange that they would mention him in the article to give weight to their story. Probably not the info dump Dusk was talking about then. This is more like a confirmation of what he's said so far with a couple of new things thrown in. Sounds good to me though!

So reading up on it, Resident Evil 8 started as Revelations 3 but due to the high quality they turned it up a notch and turned it into 8. What are the chances of a Switch version being in development as well?

Ethans mind has to be beyond fucked at this point...........I'm really curious to see what they do since the last round of rumors mentioned Ethan as well.

Sounds good. They're taking Resident Evil 7 and pushing it in the direction of RE4.

The 'Village' subtitle and design seems like something they would do. Details about what they're stalker enemy will be, which after Jack and Mr. X I can see being a prominent part of every Resident Evil and its marketing going forwards. Even the way Chris is suggested to fit into the story seems likely also.

That title treatment is fucking terrible.

Ethan, Nu-Chris, hallucinations, 1st person. Happy for those that are into this, but it's the opposite of what I want from RE now.

I'm wondering about the idea that it revolves around Ethan and Mias baby, could it be that Mia previously being infected caused changes to the baby, or at least it's believed to be considering the hallucinations aspect of the story?

Sounds intriguing though, 7 is one of my favourite RE games so I'm looking forward to seeing how they build off of it with Ethan et al.

They may just save Jill & Leon for RE9 (or what was RE8 before Rev3 became RE8). It feels like the natural progression from both remakes to have a game centered around the two fan-favorite protagonists. That plus we haven't heard from Jill since she was brainwashed in RE5.

Dusk said that Capcom has 4 AAA games this fiscal year. Probably the other reveal was happening at MS press conference?

Wait I'm confused. What could they possibly do with RE8 that would mark it as a big departure from previous games? FPS was kinda that moment, but it's not like we didn't have a FPS in RE Survivor decades ago. Unless you are giving characters super powers and having them smack zombies around, I'm not seeing the hype.

Resident Evil Village sounds like an Animal Crossing type of spin-off or a thematic vacation park.

But I'm so looking forward to this game.

Can we? I think i've pretty much seen equal amount of mentions for both, CV and 4. Sooo ... outside of Capcom doing the left-side and remaster Zero, one of the groups of people is going to be wrong.

And i take this post as a confirmation for a big Phoenix Wright E³ presence. And no one can change my mind!
