Hykeem Jamaal Carter Jr. (born October 22, 2000), professionally known as Baby Keem, is an American singer, rapper, songwriter, and record producer. He is best known for his single "Orange Soda" from his second mixtape Die for My Bitch (2019), which peaked at number 98 on the Billboard Hot 100.[2][3][4][5][6][7][8] and his collaborations with rappers Travis Scott and his cousin, Kendrick Lamar on the songs "Durag Activity" and "Family Ties" respectively. Baby Keem was included on XXL's 2020 Freshman Class.

Dude's had a meteoric rise and I'm excited to see his growth since The Sound of Bad Habit. He dropped a new album tonight fresh off a him having a feature on DONDA, a revealed unreleased collaboration with Drake, and a song with his cousin, Kendrick Lamar.

Would love impressions from some of the hip hop heads.

Just started my first listen, if the rest of the album stays on the same level, this becomes an instant classic. I can hear lots of 808's inspiration through the song.

the music sounds good. really good.

I dont fuck with overly autotuned vocals too much so its not really my thing, but I'm glad folks are enjoying it!

Some great bangers in the album, some incredible background instrumentals and overall flawless production. Baby Keem has a bright future ahead. These were my favs after the first listen.

Trademark usa
Lost Souls
Issues
Range Brothers
Scars

Also, this album is so heavily inspired by 808's and Heartbreak, you can hear the influence across the whole album.

This album is dope. I am one of the folks that caught on to Keem earlier this year after durag activity, but I went back to listen to his previous projects and I can safely say this one is his best work yet. Amazing, amazing songs and just masterful usage of his voice with what he rode on. You have your more somber moods in issues, the typical, on-brand shit with trademark usa. You can really tell he's been learning different sounds and knowing how to fly with it. I'm going to give it some more spins in the morning (🤠), but my first impression right now is that this is riding on my AOTY along with CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST.

It's straight, not usually my style overall but there are quite a few tracks I fuck with.

Obviously the 2 Kendrick tracks. Scars is really really good. Issues is cool too. Back half of the album was pretty good besides booman which didn't really click with me on first listen at least.

2021 hasn't super wowed me too much with hiphop (besides introducing me to Dot Demo, but even his release this year isn't the best in his catalog although still good) but there are a lot of solid albums.

Been spinning this all morning. Put up a new bench max in the gym to trademark USA, so I guess this is my AOTY

After my first session i think Keem should explore 808's more since he excels on this vibe.
Highlights for me:

issues (loved this one classic here)
scars
durag activity
family ties
lost souls
scapegoats (beautiful interlude)

The second track is legitimately bad though. Talk about a momentum stopper after a great intro.

TOPPA DA MORNIN 🤠

Enjoying this so far and finding it more immediately appealing than Donda or CLB.

Feels like I been waiting all year for that Keem/Uzi track to drop. Melodic Blue was one of my favorites from last year and this deluxe is going in.
