Any other time they'd be on sale, I'd probably wouldn't do this, but given the deep discount both games are getting (€14.99 if you buy them as a bundle), plus the timing of the sale (almost 2 years to the day the games released on Steam) leads me to believe that Activision's licence for the games are set to expire very soon. So if you had any nigglings for getting the two, act on it now, because I don't really see them being brought back anytime soon.

They were also the cheapest they've ever been by a mile on PSN during the sale last week. It wouldn't surprise me but the lack of any kind of notice with stuff like this always sucks

Which one's the better of the two? I might grab one of them.

Still bummed I didn't get the second War for Cybertron game before it was delisted, same with Devastation

Don't think either of them got particularly good sales.

Did they ever get the dlc characters for 1? Or are they still locked to the mua gold edition disc on 360/ps3?

https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Marvel:_Ultimate_Alliance_(2016)

All DLC from the original Raven Software version (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC) is included.

When it's delisted, can you redownload it later down the line?
I don't see why you can't unless the company's really scummy, like Konami.

Friendly PSA to tell you NOT to buy Ultimate Alliance 2 unless soul-crushing tedium and drab visuals are your thing.

The first Ultimate Alliance is okay for what it is.

Did these ever get fixed? I thought I remember them being broken or something on release?

It's the exact same gameplay loop as the first one with better graphics and improved combat options. The story's ass, but that goes for both of em. The only thing the first has on the second is more costume options.

These were on sale for this price on Humble maybe a week or two ago, it might just be the new low? I don't think it's a severe drop from its previous sale point either.

Either way it's Activision and the timing sounds suspicious so the choice is yours.

Is there any SP content or is it mainly MP?

Both are single player, with optional co-op. Basically, think along the lines of Diablo. There's a lot of content, especially in the first one.

Other than the sale price and the timing from the original Steam release date, have we seen any corroboration anywhere else?

Awesome, thanks for the info.

Gonna grab this then.

I wonder if its just a Activision licensing thing or if Marvel/Disney are taking away licenses or letting them expire kinda like what happened with Marvel VS Capcom 3 few years back.

Either ways, like Deadpool on PC/Steam, I'll be getting these two games just in case. Not gonna make the same mistake I did when I missed out on the TMNT game.

Yeah, expect them to disappear at the end of the year/early next. Acti ditches unwanted licences when transitioning to a new financial year and makes good use of Steam's self-discount tool to offer deep discounts on titles that will be affected. A great example of the former is Bond: there were still two years remaining on the licence (minus a few days) when the games were delisted at the beginning of 2013.

I wish I had gotten Devastation digitally as well. I did get Fall though. I had to buy the discs for the rest when they delisted.

I don't understand why most companies don't give us a heads up before they remove them. Like, sales will definitely spike, even at full price if people know they will be gone forever.

I bought the bundle on Steam last night and played the first game for a bit. I used my DS4 (wired) and didn't have any problems. It would still show me Xbox controller buttons in prompts, but I expected that.

Thanks for the heads up, OP!

Grabbed the two pack, I've always had a soft spot for the first MUA, and I've never played the second one. Will be great to play this with beefier hardware.
