Let's clarify some things.
1. This is units.
2. This is data from NPD for the U.S. market.
What's the takeaway from this?
The Switch had a strong December and has now sold 4.8 million units in the US as of the end of 2017. This makes it the fastest selling home console over the first 10 months in the US. It is extremely successful.
Xbox One had its best November ever thanks to the launch of Xbox One X and the continued momentum, alongside a $189 deal for the One S, allowed it to achieve strong sales in the U.S. during December too, outselling the PS4.
The PS4 had its best month ever in the U.S. during November thanks to $199 deals. Sales declined in December as those same deals weren't available. Despite that the console saw global sell through increase 15% YoY to 20.2 million.
So what's the final takeaway? Nintendo is doomed.
