Anyone else notice a major decline in Netcode quality? Game ran smooth for me for so long since launch but within the past week, I've experienced more lag than ever. Apparently, Teemo and SonicFox are having similar issues.

I hope this game gets a search for other player's replays feature.

It was really helpful in SFV when I wanted to learn new stuff for my characters from pros.

Mobas do it too. Dota 2 has no balance patches for months leading up to The International

That's the one MOBA I never played much (I just play Dota minigames & mods). I was really thinking bout League of Legends which is usually #1 most viewed Twitch stream by a longshot. That one is bout every 2 weeks on average. I'm thinking once a month would be nice for fighting games to avoid these stale metas. But one can argue it takes much longer to master characters in fighting games so I'd be willing to go with once every 6 weeks

"I SHALL CRUSH THIS WORLD!!"

Sigma's Infinity Storm quotes are the best. He sounds so intense.

Streamers, Max for example, have noted that the PS4's netcode is not as good as it was at launch. Perhaps the DLC update did something?

I have hopes that they will fix it, given that Capcom was so quick to address bugs with the game's first patch post launch.

I don't want to be wrong.

The illusion of 'netcode getting worse' is very unlikely to be a change Capcom made. The much more likely reason is that the playerbase is shrinking, and so the number of quality connections it can find for you at any given moment is lower. This, obviously, increases the odds of having to play in a suboptimal connection. Just my opinion on the matter.

wasn't there a big update to the ps4 firmware? hasn't some changes with it sometimes affected other games?

Agreed, since I started online matches, most if not all of my losses come from a team containing Dante, even when I feel I was the better fighter.

When the opponent is better than me I really dont mind losing, I actually learn, and even though I still learn against a lesser Dante when I loose, it still stings quite a bit lol

Thing is when you face a good Dante, the ass kicking you get looks Stylish :) against a lesser Dante, I'm mad at myself because I know the cheap moves, but they still work for some reason, I can't "download" those even though I see and recohnize them.

I play Gamora and Thanos btw, so maybe I should just shut up lol

Gamora/Thanos pretty fair in the grand scheme of marvel :P

My salt comes from two sources:
1) Garbo players who think they're awesome because they can get wins off Dante derp (reminiscent of vanilla MvC3 Phoenix)

2) Players who use Dante/(insert character here) and think they're actually doing work with (insert character here) when Dante is doing 95% of the work.

people who use dante aren't even playing the same game as the rest of us. cant believe they thought giving him all those tools was a good idea. game is supposed to be a tag game and yet a few characters can solo by themselves with no problem thanks to the crappy balancing. capcom sets up these rules we have to follow except for these characters and of course you end up seeing them everywhere. this game being 2 vs 2 it then becomes very stale to watch and play.

I agree with everything you say. I play Dante since I'm a dmc fan but I know I'm not learning anything so I've been transitioning to other characters. He's not even stylish anymore sadly. It's so easy to do max damage with him.

While you are most definitely correct on this (AND MAKING ME SAD, KEITS) it's not just a problem I'm having in regards to matchmaking with randoms. I'm experiencing connection issues and increased lag with the same people I've been playing with since launch :(. They've told me the same thing with their other friends as well.

I cannot believe there's no titles for beating Arcade in higher difficulties. :|
Like you have what amounts to infinite "unlock" possibilities since they take no effort to make and you don't make a bazillion more?

Relatedly, wow, Ultron Sigma is a slog in higher difficulties.

I'm still mad they couldn't at least let us put our initials in.

I know it seems so trivial and pointless, but damn. Arcade just seems like a wasteland.

Smart/good players have been winning in MVCI too. I can't really think of an example in MVCI thus far where I was like "yeah he totally frauded his way to a tournament win." Especially this early on.

Marvel 3 Dante is way more fun than Infinite Dante. Unfortunately even in this watered down state, he's still more fun than the rest of the cast IMO. In general, I had way more fun in Marvel 3 than I'm having in Infinite - I could play 3 for hours but I get bored of this after a while.

I think the main issue is that movement is not fun in this game whereas movement felt amazing in 3. Also every combo does 6k so I have no motivation to make stylish combos.

I feel like this game has the worst risk/reward of any fighting game I've ever played. The tag system makes it so that any attack basically has no recovery and can be converted into a combo or pressure which leads to lots of player just throwing out their best hitboxes to see what happens. There are some players who play very cautiously but most people just try to unga their way to a win. Game is still pretty fun though.

And since you can tag to make anything safe, going unga isn's punished or has any real risk. But it is what it is. Just gotta mold your playstyle into what the game wants/what rewards you the most, or play something else.

After looking at the supposed Season 2 leak, I'm itching to try out Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan) since I've been rooting for her to be included since the game's announcement. The only question is, what will her overall fighting style consist of? =/

Punching you with big hands and kicking you with big feet.

Level 3 is she turns giant or some such.

Picture Super-Skrull, but more emphasis on stretching and "embiggening".

This is gonna be great :)

I also have good hopes in Starlord in a gameplay perspective, he can be quite fun to use if made originally, like using his thrusters for hits and not just for dashes maybe.
I hope he won't be just guns, because I'd like to try a Gamora / Starlord team if it is possible synergy wise

Yeah that's how I would want Star Lord as well. And his level 3 better be a dance off! (I'm kidding... Kind of).

Yeah I feel like alot of the times I get opened up is when I try to punish something my opponent randomly throws out and then they end up tagging and somehow I get crossed up or something lol.

I wish tag location was just exactly where the point character was. It's bizarre that if I excalibur to the opposite side of the screen with Strider my character comes in in front of the opponent still. They should alter tag attacks so 5F normals cleanly beat them.

That's something that people would have to relearn again. Only now are people adjusting to tags coming in from the opposite side of the face that the point is facing.

It still doesn't remove the sting from the shitty Capcom decisions like Chris, Nemesis, Spencer, Frank West, Firebrand, and Arthur.

Would have much preferred V-Joe, Amaterasu, Vergil, Trish, Phoenix W., Wesker, and Jill (Chris would get a pass from me for replacing Jill if the previous chars mentioned made it instead).

Joe is a fucking super hero for fucks sake lol

I'll never understand the hate for Arthur & Frank in this game's roster. They both represent big Capcom franchises & are semi-relevant. GnG being in the SNES mini & Dead Rising being one of Capcom's few live series (even if 4 was terrible). They both have pretty unique movests too.

Wanting lame-o Trish over Frank & Arthur is weird. Give me Lady any day over Trish lol

Since we know Infinite will be at PSX, I'm really interested in seeing what they announce. Really hoping they do something big. This game could use some excitement.
