So i've been looking over the fall releases and there are so many damn good titles. The ten year old younger me would have loved it since i had an abundance of time. Now, i'm just feeling kind of stressed out lol! So my question ERA is how are you going to prioritize the playing order this fall?

My order as of right now is:
1. Divinity: Original Sin 2 (PS4)
2. Pillars of eternity 2 (PS4)
3. Hitman 2
4. Life is strange 2
5. Spider-man
6. Assassin's creed: Odyssey
7. Red dead redemption 2
8. Shadows of the Tomb Raider
9. Fallout 76 (Might toss this though since while i love Fallout i don't like multiplayer)

Unsure about the order of 1 and 2 since i loved the first ones though. With my limited gaming-time i'll be set to fall 2019 lol!

RDR was a fall title? I guess that's the only game I'll need for a while then!

RDR2, Spider-man and Dragon Quest XI for me will be my main priorities. I think Spyro's remaster is also this fall? Which i also want along with AC:OD and maybe F76, though those will be bought probably around winter.

I'm only getting Yakuza and Fist of the North Star. Divinity will have to wait. I'm still unsure about Spider-Man and RDR2. Will likely get them on a sale.

Edit: Spyro Remastered is a guaranteed buy as well.

1. Red Dead Redemption 2 for me, main game I'm looking forward to this fall.
2. Spider-Man
3. AC: Odyssey
4. BF V

I'd probably play spider-man/ac before RDR 2 but if I'm not finished with either I'll still be playing RDR 2 on release date.

I have the new Xenoblade Chronicles 2 expansion preordered because I got it cheap but I'm probably going to hold back on almost everything else in order to work on my backlog.

Other than that, Valkyria Chronicles 4 and Spidey, I think.

Yakuza Kiwami 2, Dragon Quest XI, Spider-Man, Shadow of Tomb Raider, Code Vein, Valkyrie Chronicles 4, AC Odyssey, RDR 2. All day one rent.

It's rough prioritizing. Having a tough enough time getting through the backlog already. Very little breathing room to get through the Fall stuff before February becomes Fall, phase II. To make matters worse, there are a lot of time sinks. Red Dead, Forza Horizon, Fallout, Battlefield, SSBM...all could single handedly eat up 100s of hours by themselves.

I think the fall looks a little empty for my tastes, but I'm sure there'll be lots of great indie games releasing. The only bigger titles I'm looking forward to are Spyro, Spider-Man and Forza Horizon 4.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 and DQXI before everything else. The rest I'll play when I feel like playing them.

*shrug*

The only upcoming game for the rest of the year that I'm particularly interested in is Spiderman. So it's not exactly going to be a struggle.

Plenty of backlog to choose from. Still haven't finished DOS2 on PC, and I have an ongoing game of XCOM2 Long War.

Well I'm going to buy DQ and RDR2... So not that bad?

I may get Tomb Raider at a later date if it's good, and probably Call of Cthulhu, but yeah, not a stacked fall for me.

I'll still be playing Monster Hunter GU, but Valkyria Chronicles 4 and Megaman 11 are the Autumn releases I've got my eye on.

I'll just play games in the order of release.

1. Banner Saga 3
2. Yakuza 0
3. We Happy Few (if it's good)
4. Shadow of the Tomb Raider
5. Life is Strange 2
6. HITMAN 2

There are also some games that are supposed to come out this year but with unconfirmed release dates: Insomnia, Call of Cthulhu, Biomutant, Mutant Year Zero, etc, though I imagine most of these will be delayed into 2019.

Maybe Tales of Vesperia, have heard good things about it, maybe I should give Tales another chance..

I'll probably be in a deep WoW hole due to the xpac launching in August.

I'll probably be prioritizing Dragon Quest and Valkyria Chronicles 4 of stuff that has a date. Few indies or ports (like Shenmue collection, Monster Hunter World, Yakuza Kiwami PC) that might sneak in there.

Spider-Man, Code Vein, Asscreed will be gotten eventually but probably not focused on at launch unless I come out of my WoW coma early.

To answer the actual question I think the rest of this year is pretty empty for me actually. I plan on buying smash but I think I'll mostly just play ESO, HotS, FFXIV and other games that I can keep going back to for the duration of the summer and fall.

My real project the rest of this year is getting caught up on Kingdom Hearts. I bought the "All-in-one" pack which includes EVERYTHING kingdom hearts. (5-6 games total I think including KH3) In prep for playing KH3 in January.

2019 is when games that I want to play for real start popping off. RE2, DMC V are my two must haves atm.

Might take a dip and play the Megaman X collections too depending.

I got my wife pregnant and the baby is coming at Christmas. My plan of being completely broke for the entire winter season will save me from wasting money on all those games.

But RDR2 and Spiderman will be mine for sure. And PoE2.

Definitely DOS2 too. Probably Yakuza.

This isn't going to work out at all.

For me, it's trying to balance Spider-Man,
Tomb Raider, and Spyro. Each one comes out a week after the previous one so I'm not quite sure how I'll tackle them.

Would love to get the first two games done as quickly as possible to avoid potential spoilers, so maybe when Spyro drops I'll use it as a relaxation game if I'm frustrated with side content in the other two.

Oh wow looks like AC Odyssey might be the only one I want at release for the rest of the year, my backlog finally gets some relief. I should get around to playing RDR.

I don't really know, I guess it helps that my second job is going away since the store is closing in September lol

A decade ago I could beat like 3 games a week on average. I still buy about 3-4 full price games a month plus a slew of indies/re-releases/budget/etc.

There are definitely less "short" games coming out these days, but how much of that is just the open world bloat prolonging things with level up meters/checklists and whatnot, hmm...

Also, many of these games (late August for Kiwami 2, the bigger September titles) being mentioned are technically still summer releases! I know I know, close enough, but the summer quarter has been improving each year recently in my eyes.

I got my wife pregnant and the baby is coming at Christmas. My plan of being completely broke for the entire winter season will save me from wasting money on all those games.

Congratulations mate! The bestest of christmas gifts!

This autumn, for me, is:
1. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
2. Hitman 2
3. Red Dead Redemption II
4. SoulCalibur VI
5. Forza Horizon 4
6. Pokémon: Let's Go Eevee
7. Assassin's Creed Odyssey
8. Shadow of the Tomb Raider
9. Spyro: Reignited Trilogy

Definitely not playing them all at launch. Will eventually, though.

Im actually not sure how much left I'll get for this year. Octopath, Spider Man, AC Odyssey maybe and Smash definitely. That's pretty much it.

It's ok though because I have a massive backlog

The plan is Valkyria Chronicles and Dragon Quest XI, but I'll most likely going to fall into a Monster Hunter shaped hole again, quite possibly preventing me from playing either of those. I'm the worst. At least Mega Man 11 is going to be easy to slot in.
