Looking forward to all the newbies saying "this sucks".

Also can't wait for Shenmue trophies.

Hate to be negative but there is going to be some buyer's remorse from younger gamers.

Shenmue is pretty tough to get into, it's a real slow burn and takes a lot of patience imo.
Even back on the day it took me a few attempts to get into it... Of course once or did I was hooked.

I just think there had been so much hype, kids will struggle to get past the first few hours.

Ok wait a minute. Is shen mu 3 confirmed for Xbox? If it isn't why is this even coming out?
What do those things have in common? Sega can publish games on systems that aren't getting sequels they aren't publishing.

The real strange stuff is when the opposite happens, like Xbox not getting the Kingdom Hearts collections.

Super happy with this. One of my favourite franchise, so I'll pre-order it later today on Steam when I'll come home from work (well, if Sega will put the pre-order up).
Anyway I'm baffled on how 30$=35€

Well, to be honest Shenmue 1+2 are Sega's, while 3 is Ys-Net

Shenmue 3 will Most likely come out on everything. It's not even sure it is a timed exclusive on consoles, all Sony did for the game was to give them a stage to announce the Kickstarter campaign. Nobody in their right mind will make an IP that has failed over and over again to release only on limited platforms. It makes no sense.

Consider it bought. I've always wanted to play these games, and considering I'm something of a Dreamcast enthusiast it's near criminal that I haven't yet.

I feel like they picked a bad time to release them. But oh well, Shenmue III is coming regardless of how well these do!

I cannot wait to go back and play these. I'm really hoping that they are proper remasters.

It is criminal that you haven't played them yet, but glad you are gonna fix that soon. I wish I could have those feelings I had nearly 20 years ago with my first playthrough again.

Exactly. Sega can do whatever they want with 1 & 2 but 3 isn't there's. As far as we know, it's still a PS4/PC only title.

In my defense, I have certainly tried to get copies on numerous occasions, but I have consistently been screwed over by ebay sellers who sold me fucked discs. I mean, I currently have in my apartment three Shenmue 1 cases with a bad disc 1 inside them. After that episode I figured, "well fuck it, three strikes you're out man." Don't know why I kept the discs, but they're still sitting next to my Dreamcast, but now with this collection I may finally turn the discs into the dog toys they deserve to be.

Not officially confirmed yet, although they seem to be open to it. It's all about managing development resources, so it fair to assume that it will be coming to Xbox eventually, if not simultaneously with the other versions.

why the hell is this even coming out in playstation? what the hell? the playbase is on xbox, the spiritual brand to dreamcast. fuck this shit.

LOL! to be fair Shen Mu II did come out on Xbox so if someone wants to go with that approach i suppose they can lol.

I just think it's an ultimate tease for Sega to do this, but it obviously makes business sense. It's mean on Yu Suzuki to not announce an xbox version after this.

To be fair, they have obligations to their backers, and they should fulfill those first. If they can squeeze in the Xbox version at the same time, great, but if they can't, they should finish it for the people who had already paid for it first.
