You cannot out-nice a Canadian. That is impossible by the laws of reality.

Nevermind that Canadians buy more American products than any other country. Nevermind the that there is only a 3% overall trade differential between both countries, the closest of any two allied nations in the world.

Don't poke a sleeping Moose, if you don't want antlers up your ass in retaliation

smfh

I was recently visiting Canada and saw a segment on the news how Canadians are going out of their way to buy Canadian goods even if they are more expensive than US imports.

Trump is fucking the US up.

I work in retail and I get more people asking everyday if they can buy Canadian products and produce over American and what their options are.

We Canadians don't appreciate Trumps scummy government and are willing to put up a fight.

That's awesome.

And Avril Lavigne.

and Sum 41.

And Bieber.

Avril Lavigne is damn cute.

Sum 41 are good. We are all to blame is an awesome song.

Bieber... Oh ok you are right. Sorry about that.

A majority of my Canadian family goes to Florida like 3 times a year, and across the border in Niagara for Black Friday. I saw them yesterday for Canada Day, and looks like that's gonna change.
So I guess the US is getting what they're asking for?

We already saw declining American attendance at this year's massive yearly Detroit-Windsor Fireworks show in June

Washington Post, October 13, 2014:

Lying/spinning is practically part of the job description, this shouldn't surprise anyone that's spent time watching White House press briefings over the years/decades. Spicer and Sanders obviously had/have a much more difficult time in the role because the man in the White House wasn't groomed to be politically correct and careful of his words the same way those before him were.

So let me make sure I understand this: you're using a FOX News poll of people who thought Obama was a Muslim from Kenya to suggest Obama lied as much as a Trump but was able to do it with political correctness? And that Obama's press secs were just as dishonest?

Are you serious right now?

Trump isn't inexperienced and not politically correct. LOL

He's a fucking liar. Like there is actual data that show this. He lied like 100 times in a week. This is not "par the course" also trying to bring Obama to this level. Get the fuck out of here.

Obama flat out false 14%

Trump flat out out false 47%

I have to admit, this has made our household reconsider buying brands like Heinz Ketchup and we're switching over to the local French's instead. A lot of people I know are doing this. There's a real sense of, "Well, we didn't want this fight, but if you do... have at you."

How the fuck did Canada, CANADA, become an enemy? Shit wasn't talked about before the election. Or even a year into his presidency. Then suddenly, oh, fuck Canada. Is it because his daughter wants to fuck Trudeau?

Yeah I'm gonna need some proof that they're "taking advantage" of us.

Notice how there's almost never any proof?

(it's not just you)

Yeah, but to be fair, if those so called "customers" are only doing good business with you, and handing over money, BUT, believe in freedom, equality, diversity, rule of law, tolerance, religious expression, cultural expression, and collaboration with other countries... Doesn't that value system, which is clearly a threat to the American way of life, DESERVE punishment? I mean, who values freedom? That's not America! America is nation of white people that always been there, it's not like it's a country of immigrants with a statue about liberty that calls for the tired, the poor and the wretched refuse. That's NEVER, EVER been what America is about, and if Canada is going to spit all over that with... FAIRNESS... then they deserve what's coming to them.

"Taken advantage of our farmers "

Should have been followed up with "How has Canada taken advantage of US farmers and to what degree?" and gotten some numbers.
Journalists never ask the follow up questions. Because they know they'll never get specific metrics and it'll just be BS statistics at best and platitudes/feelings at worst.

How the fuck did Canada, CANADA, become an enemy? Shit wasn't talked about before the election. Or even a year into his presidency. Then suddenly, oh, fuck Canada. Is it because his daughter wants to fuck Trudeau?
Canada is a great enemy to the United States... unlike your best friends Russia, North Korea and Israel.

Please drop the derail about the c-word. In general, it would be preferable if you could avoid using gendered insults, too. Some female posters find the word objectionable in general, and not everyone reading this forum is from the UK or Australia.

Bullshit.

Trump's administration knows their policies are crap, and they don't care. Has nothing to do with political correctness.

These people are self-absorbed who think they're the greatest thing since sliced bread.

The bullshit this administration is doing (and supports) since Nov 16 should not normalized.

I worry about anyone that doesn't understand the role of press secretary and the challenge it brings with it. Let's be honest here, I think the fact that she's working for Trump is really what's bothering you here. If she was spinning Hillary's words (or Bernie's, if he was your choice) you wouldn't care quite as much.

So let me make sure I understand this: you're using a FOX News poll of people who thought Obama was a Muslim from Kenya to suggest Obama lied as much as a Trump but was able to do it with political correctness? And that Obama's press secs were just as dishonest?

I was pointing to the Washington Post as a clear example that your opinion of Sanders and her lying ways can easily be countered given that it practically comes with the job. You can go back and find examples of ALL press secretaries twisting the facts so far that it no longer bears any resemblance to the truth. Go ahead and tell me I'm wrong, that Josh Earnest and Robert Gibbs were completely straight with the press, because that's going to make my day.

I don't much care for Trump or Sarah Sanders, but let's not lose perspective here.

Obama flat out false 14%

Trump flat out out false 47%

14% false is cool, 47% false is not? Where's the line for you? Go and find the press briefings where those issues he lied about were addressed by his press secretaries because they never came out and told us "Yep, Obama lied, sorry guys." It's their job to defend his positions, even when he's lying to your face, and that's the entire point - it happened in the past, it's happening now with Trump/Sanders, and it will continue to happen. This is politics, it comes with the territory.

Listen, a Trumpster needs to stan for their god-king. It's in their genes.

Well, what can I say to that, except thanks for making my day.

Its amazing how fast the relationship between our two countries have deteriorated. You would think given the length of our friendship it would take many years to ruin...Trump did it in less than 2.

Yeah you're trying to equate pretty much zero to half. Whatever man. I'm done here. Think want what you want, obviously you made up your mind about Trump. It's ok because he fucks over illegals and gives you a tax break.

Is it really so hard to not say a word that a substantial amount of people find objectionable? Just let it go. There are plenty of other amazing swear words we can call Sanders. Like dim witted fuck nugget.

Sure but why did you quote me? I was pointing out a trend I have noticed of people saying costumer instead of customer.

Oh, not because of the spelling correction, but because of the emphasis on "customer" which is what Canada is/was. I just thought it was important to reply to that part, because up until this Trump stuff started happening, that's all Canada WAS to the US.
