Looking at Steam, Crash doesn't seem to be doing particularly well on PC. It has very high approval and has probably sold 20k+ but it's already out of the top 10 sellers.

Steam sale is happening right now. No one's paying full price when they can pick up a bunch of older games on the cheap.

It's hilarious after last year that people still insist that there's always some 'bad' element to this remaster that explains why it sells.

It's a decently priced collection of fantastic games (with a few issues, of course) in a region that loves well priced games. Can't Smash the Crash Train.

Yeah, honestly, I'm not a huge fan of Crash but it warms my heart to see a platform game sell this well. I certainly can't complain. Very happy for the development team here!

Man, Europe loves the Crash. I did testing on Crash of the Titans and it was the only product I've ever worked on that in addition to doing EFIGS did Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, and Swedish (and I think Icelandic and maybe a few others?). I have never heard of something going so deep in on Northern Europe localization. But according to my project leads and producers at the time it was like "Well, it does staggeringly well in Europe."

The issues the game has seem isolated in most part to the original. Theres some really funky hit detection and weird physics glitches that seem to happen (the lizards in Lost City seem to have their own gravitational pull for some reason that send you flying in a different direction) but all in all VV did great.

I have a feeling those a bit sickened by the sales might also be disappointed at Tropical Freeze's performance. As good a game as that is, it is not worth the asking price, especially in a budget-driven UK market...

I'm not sure I agree that DK isn't worth the asking price. I mean, it is a port but it's one of the best platformers in ages. If you owned a Wii U, I can see a value issue for some, but if not...it's absolutely worth it.

Yeah fair enough, I guess I'm jaded because I already played (and loved it!) on Wii U.

Good to hear you mate. Indeed, I not seeing the problem about this. Love new games, love classic games.

Its better to sell more units on a higher install base at the end of the day. Like selling great for a Vita game is not the same as selling well in general. Like wise 4m units on PS4 with its huge base is better than what ever relativw comparison can be made. Raw numbers trump attach rate.
Not if the console in mention is selling gangbusters, the high attach rates and fast selling console are a winning combo

The video game charts at Amazon UK are very different than the Amazon US charts. Nintendo owns the US chart but Crash is low on it (26 on Switch, 57 on XB1), whereas Nintendo is doing just OK on the UK daily charts but Crash is #1 on Switch and also #2 on Xbox One. Brits care way more about Crash than Americans it seems. Good old Glory.
Ahem, this is US Eshop

Amazing that one guy got this started in Activision. I still can't believe publishers struggle to see what sells on Nintendo systems. Nintendo gamers love mascots. Now get Spyro on it!

Some users here aren't even trying to hide their insecurity and are seemingly threatened by Crash's success.

Does anybody still have that ad of Crash shouting through a loudspeaker in front of the Nintendo building?

They probably should 'shop that so that he's shouting in front of the Nintendo UK Headquarters instead.

So apparently there were 500k copies of N. Sane Switch sold in the UK according to French news outlet Jeuxvideo.com.

I could be interpreting this wrong since those are huge numbers. Would someone like to chime in?

Someone needs to make a 'Jeb Wins' electoral meme image only with Crash and only with the entire world.

That's simply impossible, that would be one of the biggest launches in the UK ever.

Much more likely that he means Crash has sold over 500,000 copies in the UK across all platforms since its PS4 release.

Pretty crazy but when you actually look at how boring Nintendo's published lineup has been makes sense. The 4 good Switch exclusives are wii u (DK, Bayo2, hyrule) or PS4 (DQB) ports

Good mark if true.

The automatic translation sure makes it sound like that's what it's saying, but yeah that sounds basically impossible. It must have either meant 500k across all platforms or 500k on Switch globally (which would still be incredible).

That's impossible, the One version sold more than the NSW version in the UK.
This is probably 500k copies across PS4, One and NSW in the UK.

So, of those 800k, 500k are from Switch? If so, that's damn good. Hopefully, Spyro Remaster will also come after seeing these kind of sales.
Nah, that tweet is wrong, the Switch version sold a little more than DK which opened at 12-15k, you can add the same number for Xbox and the rest are on PS4.

Definitely interpreting that wrong. The Xbox One version sold more and there's no way it sold 500k there on the UK either
