Just got back from the Tampa rally. I'll be honest: It was weak. The people may have been angry (some of their signs certainly were — "Greedy Old Pricks burn in Hell" read one"), but the crowd wasn't. They didn't have much energy for cheering or chanting. Some of the speakers were good, but generally they weren't effective at engaging the crowd.

There were probably about a thousand people in a park half the size of a city block. It would have helped if the venue was smaller, or the crowd larger; people were spread out, sitting down, relaxed.

I was also struck by how white the group was. Tampa is a pretty diverse city, I think. The crowd was whiter than local community college classes.

I think the rally was supposed to go until noon, but it got cut short by a thunderstorm.

I wouldn't be afraid of these people if I was a Nazi, or a Republican, or even a spineless coward named Marco.

Goddammit, my nephew suddenly got sick so I'm taking him to the clinic. Hopefully A) nothing is serious and B) it goes quickly so I can drive over to downtown Seattle

:(

Good speakers here and a big turnout, but bizarrely there was no march. Still great to be heard and to see so many others coming out.

Went to the Atlanta one. Good turnout. However, if you weren't right at the front it was impossible to hear any of the speeches.

Phew. Made it to the capitol. I'm taking a break in the last spot of shade on the mall. I got in the marching line early and taken two quick nicotine breaks and I have yet to see the start or end of the line. Great turnout considering the heat is goddamned oppressive. Much like our current government.

The turnout is Cleveland was good, I think. I got some cool panaroma shots of the crowd. It was great to see the solidarity of decent people who know families shouldn't be torn apart to send a fucked up message to immigrants.

At the Austin one. It's hot out, but fortunately there plenty of shade and a nice breeze. There's a lot of people here and more still arriving. Not a terrible amount of energy though. I expected better of one of the most liberal city in texas.

I am fucking furious that this is even happening, people being arrested because they use there first amendment and doing peaceful protest?

600 woman where arrested also because of this?

It is becoming a police state more and more..

Wtf, why are they arresting the oldest person there sitting down and not anyone else? Not that they should be arresting anyone.

Was just at the protest in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Good turnout, despite the heat. My first protest, glad it was for this cause.

Hearing about various groups using the marches today to register people to vote, and that just warms my heart.

Voters registration forms in the NYC march, countdowns to Election Day. That's the important work too.

Went to the Boston rally, and glad I did - learned about some local legislation I can support (SCA) to help at least a little bit.

Absolutely pouring where am. Driving down was hydroplane city.

No clue what the turnout is, since everyone's spread out under cover due to rain.

Same, just got back. Saw some masked alt right dickheads lounging on a street corner up in Beacon Hill afterwards trying to start arguments about MS13. Bunch of idiots

Anyway here's a picture I took at the start of the march

Back from my hometown rally. It was nice, and bigger than I expected, but not a huge thing either. I have contact with one of my local rep candidates who I want to help campaign for until I go back to college in August. And there were some good people there worth talking to; a couple of speakers needlessly adulterated their attitude to my dislike.

My local rally doesn't start until 4, but now it's about to storm out. Hopefully it blows over by the time it's time.

Just got back from the DC rally. Great turnout even though it was HOT. ~30k if I had to guess, though it was hard to tell because folks were more spread out than usual trying to stay in the shade. We marched past the Trump hotel and everyone stopped and jeered, which was fun.

All kinds of different folks there - young, old, etc. People stopped at the doors of the DOJ to place their signs there, including a headshot of Merrick Garland, which was both awesome and tragic.

Has anyone seen any official crowd estimates yet?

I know I'm DC they were expecting 50k but I wouldn't be surprised if it was actually more. A group left Lafeyette early and marched ahead so it basically split into two groups.

I did notice that. Also noticed a lot of people leaving early before the march due to the heat (mostly people with kids). So when they do crowd estimates I'm curious if they're measuring the march, or the rally, and at what time.

Like, during the rally there were people several blocks in every direction, all the way up to Farragut, just trying to find shade.
