I don't know that "Working on it" should lead to an article that says "Confirmed", but I'll be happy if it ends up happening.

Adapted the title to be a little more transparent. We don't actually have an official confirmation on this. Noel could just be working on getting a publishing deal.

That would be so tempting to double (triple?) Dip that I am almost not wanting to happen because physical switch cards costs a kidney here

I've heard so much good about his game. Excited to play it whenever this releases.

I love Celeste but can't help but feel taken advantage of when, as someone who buys all my games physical except when they're digital-only, I buy a digital-only game at release because I want to support the developer and then find out there will be a physical release 6mo to a year after.

Well, for most titles like this, they need to prove through digital sales that a physical release is viable to a publisher, especially if they want a wider physical release at retail. Before Celeste launched I doubt any company was willing to do a physical release for them, nor did they have the money themselves to pay for one.

The only exception to this is LRG, but then the print run would be limited and a lot of people would likely miss out.

I know what you mean but in that situation I would prefer they just stay digital. But hey, I guess if they sweeten the deal with manual, reversible cover, and other physical goodies then I can somewhat get my money's worth even if I've already played the game.

But if you prefer physical...and this is the only way for them to do physical...why would you want them to stay digital? Even if you decide you dont want to double dip, plenty of other people do. It doesnt hurt you any if others have access to a physical copy.

Sorry to revive an older thread, easier than posting a new one on the matter...

Is there any further news on a physical edition?
