After nearly 20 days of playing single player, i finally gave Multiplayer a whirl and wow, this is something else. It's so much more thrilling than the single player. It's kinda weird because i didnt like the beta at all, but now im taking down fools like there is no tomorrow. i played for almost 3 hours yesterday and didnt lose a single match. Lockdown and switch are my favorite modes because people actively try to take you down which makes things a lot more fun.

I really really liked the campaign but the online being so smooth and fun makes it an easy 9 for me. i might actually like this more than DriveClub. What a fantastic game.
I like the game, but I'm so done with the single player.

Lockdown is such butt, and the AI can't seem to reliably play it at all.

Too much time invested in tournaments only to have them crash to a stop after accursed Lockdown comes up and my team spends the entire time who knows where as I'm the only one who contests orange captures.
lol yeah, i have lost the semi-final of the very last tournament three times in a row now. i have no fucking idea where my team is during that entire match. they dont even capture a single point. bizarre.

I have seen them post replays like this a couple of times on twitter now. they look phenomenal. they need to be in the game asap! Fix this shit GG!

This game was designed for capturing amazing cinematic takedowns. I have recorded like 40 clips of me going on some crazy streaks of 3-4 takedowns. Last night i crashed into like 4 enemy cars in single player and sent them all flying but even with the slow mo i didnt get the shot i wanted.

Photo mode is so last gen, please give me video mode! I want to make clips like that.

Damn, that takedown is sweet. What are you guys playing in, resolution or framerate preferred? I'm finding resolution mode is smooth enough and it looks far better on the X.

yeah, resolution mode on the x1x looks fantastic. 60 fps looks pretty good too so i use it for mp and play SP with no HUD and in the framerate mode. looks gorgeous. you can see every single raindrop and snow drop.

I had a really weird experience earlier, was playing the gate/timer mode and it was actually sped up on my console. Like it was running at 110% speed or so. Really bizarre.

Oof, I can get this for €26, €36 retail price plus a €10 discount coupon. I LOVE Motorstorm and I liked the beta, should I get this or wait?

I need my arcade racing fix. Gonna buy this later today. How lively is the community on PS4? I hope this game does well.

It's 8 AM US Central time where I'm at on a Friday morning, and every match I've had so far has been fully packed, no bots.

It varies throughout the day, but I'd say it's doing alright.

Edit: Gotta say, cutting the respawn timer from 5 seconds to 3 feels a whole hell of a lot better.

Cool, I am getting it then, my PSN ID: JamonSerranoSky i am in GMT+1 if anyone wants to add me.

Is the PS4 community healthy?
I am on Xbox 1 and have only played online a few times but havent had any issues finding matches. Once it got stuck on joining game but i restarted the game and that fixed it. Usually it finds matches within a couple of seconds if not faster.

The great thing about the game's online implementation is that they dont have separate lobbies for all different modes. They have one lobby and they cycle through modes after every round. So the quick match queue will always find a match for you unless for some reason you are literally the only one playing the game at the time, and i doubt that will happen anytime soon.

Another great thing is that the game replaces people with bots so even if you have six people in a lobby you will have a game going. If you dont want to play with bots you can leave the lobby and try to join another game and it should put you in a full match.

My copy arrived today and I've played a couple single player matches and some online matches, this a really awesome! I still suck at it though, constantly missing ramps and driving in to trees but I am really digging this game's style. That tutorial was quick and awesome and the whole quake voice for car names and skills is totally my jam.

Bought this on a lark, and as almost just to support the Codemasters/Evo combo. The premise didn't catch me, but the dev pedigree was enough to convince me to take the plunge. And I'm glad I did, because I fucking love this game.

Its Burnout boosting and slamming and bashing + loose/more casual Overwatch roles and teamplay + a more Motorstormy storm of motors than Motorstorm ever was (you're always in the eye of the hurricane and you still have all the different routes and shortcuts) + DriveClub's environmental love and gazillion conditions like time of day and season. Its an amazing combo, and while you can plainly see the derivative bits, the sum total is utterly unique and addictive.

I could do without the overlong and flat out super-gratuitous end-of-match score and XP swooshes, gear unlocks, pop ups, challenge meters, whoops, zings, flourishes and meaningless numbers and progress bars and daily reward prompts and new gear crates oh my, but the gameplay itself provides such a continuous and purely distilled sense of thrill, speed and chaos and strategy that I can forgive it. And this is some of the best audio work I've experienced in a game, in terms of the way music is mixed and how it feels like you have your own private DJ right over your shoulder throughout -- and its got a stellar selection of tracks too.

If there's no demo out there for this game it's a crying shame. Because its such a unique little gem that its hard to come to grips with the rhythm and approach until you put in some hands-on-controller time. Hell, I share-played the game for a buddy of mine, and he watched a full match play out and still asked about the best ways to beat the lap times and come in first. I should've expected that as my first several hours with the game involved unlearning most of what other racing games have taught me over the years, but it was worth it.

Hell yes.

Yeah post game screens are too much. I would rather they get replaced by scoreboards and play of the game replays.

The game is obviously trying to be a multiplayer experience like First person online shooters and yet there is no real scoreboard that keeps shows everyone how many takedowns, assists and other plays you have had.

P.S Audio is amazing. Great soundtrack.

Yes! More please.

ok, the shorter spawn time is awesome, it fits the pace of game much better. they should nonetheless give you the option to skip the crashcam and the spectator mode. sometimes that wastes precious seconds to get in the action again.

and i will say it again: i really love the game, it is THE surprise fun game 2018 for me and will end up in my "best of 2018" list.

it is a joy to play and doesn´t get boring. i really hope it will attract many people in the following months because seriously if you love action, vehicles and oldschool arcade stuff, you really miss out if you don´t give this game a chance. it is bursting with fun and energy.

looking forward to ranked mode, hopefully this will be soon in the game

P.S Audio is amazing. Great soundtrack.

yeah i want more of that stuff, would be great if there were a "extendend soundtrack" dlc with more tracks. i love the mixtape style of the soundtrack.

speaking of the soundtrack: does anyone know the artist of the track where one part is in a Linkin Park style and one part is some sort of robotic raggamuffin? that track kicks ass .-)

Absolutely. Was musing last night that I'd love more songs in the mix, whether via DLC or whatever. That's the first time I've had that thought about a game.

Are there any plans to release the soundtrack?

It'a been a long time since I've loved an arcaderacer so much!

I really really hope OnRush will do great. Three friends of mine already bought the game after playing at my place. But then again....I spoke to some friends of my son today and nobody had even heard of OnRush, and that's really worrying me.

I hope the game picks up like Rainbow Six Siege eventually did because it deserves to be a great success. Fantastic game!!!

Yeah the soundtrack is great. Probably the best of its kind since Rocket League. I'd also love more tracks in the future if the game catches on like RL did.

This is my GOTY and I had never even heard of it until a few days ago.

How do you effectively do takedowns? I can't seem to boost and T-Bone or body check people and instead get wrecked myself.

This happens to me too, I know you need to be the one behind to t-bone them but that usually doesn't work.

The enemy cars won't even budge an inch when I nudge them but when they as much as blow in my direction, I fly off the course. Sometimes when I land on someone nothing happens but when someone else as much as touches me with their wheel alone my car explodes I also wish you don't randomly crash and explode when you drive in to something at a snales pace, there's times that I stop right before a wall or obstacle but nudge it with my bumber trying to get back on the course but suddenly my car explodes.

I also don't see the purose of that respawn timer, I spent more time looking at selection screen that actual racing in some matches. It's not a game with a finish line so being in front or back don't really matter.

You must crash other cars with your front, everything else doesn´t damage the other cars. They explain it with the T. the front of the T damages, everything else doesn´t. When you come sideways and want to damage your enemy you will end up often as the one getting your car damaged because they just have to steer a little bit into your direction and now they are the ones who are damaging you. You can´t destroy an enemy with one push from the front, it takes two.

besides that often it is better to give your opponents a little push to send them into walls or offtrack. the game is often about passive aggressive driving instead of ramming and crashing.

Purpose of the respawn timer is to simply punish you because when you are out you can´t make points in Overdrive, you can´t race into the zone in Lockdown and you can´t race through more gates in Countdown to get more seconds. When you spent more time looking at the selection screen than racing you should first learn how to avoid incoming damage so that you are longer in the game and not out. Take notice that the bike is the one that is easily destroyed but the fastest and the Titan or Enforcer are like tanks but slow. Switch up your vehicles to get a feeling for them.

It takes time to lean the intricacies of the game but you will get there with practice.

Good points all around. Took me a decent 6 hours to finally get it, particularly the part about passive aggression. Sure you can smash into someone (you'll get better at that) but you'll notice expert level racers using nudges, especially in tight corridors or when there are trees around.

It's great to see people enjoying OnRush, it's a great arcade action racer.

It's a damn shame more people didn't have faith in it to being with (people should hang their head in shame) but hopefully good word of mouth will get more people to pick it up as time goes on.
