I bought it... but I'm intimidated to play it. I'm afraid of being overwhelmed. I don't know why I got it. I like exploration and cool worlds, but don't like hard, confusing games.

Someone get me excited to start playing!

Shadow drop at E3 helps a lot.
Minecraft being free for a lot of people and Mario Tennis Aces releasing so soon after might hurt legs a bit but people will pay for quality. Celeste, Overcooked and especially Stardew Valley had long legs on the eShop charts

Bought it minute 1.

I've had the steam version but stoped after 10hours to play the rest on the switch. It was my most wanted game of the year. And it delivered.

Holy shit it did.

Dude don't even sweat what you think the entirety of the game involves. Just go into it with a mindset to look around and explore. Check in with the locals, talk to them. Don't feel pressured to know everything all at once. Just check out each room, each enemy. Embark on a personal journey of discovery and take your time. Most importantly, don't forget to buy a map when you meet good ole Conifer!

Good. I got it because everyone else was excited and just dove in without knowing. I want my buggo child to do well and prosper.
How is this a $15 game? I will rebuy it when it goes physical.

If it helps to know, you won't have access to much until you've unlocked one of the main abilities a bit into the game. You're going to be running around the first two areas of the game before you can really start branching out and doing your own thing. But everywhere you go after that is so cool and awe inspiring you can't go wrong!

It's not really complicated at all.

But it is HUGE and you will get lost exploring. You just have to free your mind and just explore explore and get lost. You'll find your way through.

The game is fantastic.

I bought it immediately. I already own it on PC, and I could have reached out for a review code, but I literally just wanted to throw more cash at these developers. It's such a great little game, and I'm really happy to see it doing so well.

I'm glad to know so many more people are getting through it and discovering it for the first time. The opening hours can be a bit of a slog, but then it really picks up once you start "upgrading!"

I started it up last night for what was going to be a "test drive" brief session...wound up playing for almost 3 hours. Game is fantastic.

I've seen some people say this is a top 10 game in their all time best games list. I can't believe it's that good lol. I haven't bought it yet.

It's a Top 5 for me. I can't remember the last time I played a game this good.

I put in 70 hours slowly and methodically exploring every inch of the map and didn't get bored.

It's pretty crazy but when it comes down to it I may hold it in that high of a regard as well. I love everything about it .One of those "perfect" games to me.

The opening is a very straightforward tutorial. The first "level" is a big loop. By the time you are done with it, you will be comfortable with the game and its systems and have no problem advancing. It's a difficult game, but you're not going to be confused.

Good game. Took me around 22 hours to beat the game. Now I'm working on the extra content and reaching 100%.

Bought this two weeks ago and I've yet to even start the game up. Been finding it hard to start any new game for the past few weeks so it's no-one's fault but my own. Still, though, that is an insane amount of copies for a game such as this in 2 weeks. Congrats to Team Cherry, it's always great to hear more Switch success stories.

Very strong opening and about where I expected to be in the first few weeks. Will be a million seller for sure.

As a huge fan of the Metroid series, I used to think I was a big fan of the metroidvania genre. Upon reflection, there are very few games in that genre that have held my interest for more than a few hours.

Hollow Knight is one of them. I'm ~13 hours in, but am no less enchanted now than when I first started. I adore this game...
