£18 for INSIDE is way too much for a double dip. I wasn't very enthused with the game in the first place but a second playthrough to get all the collectibles would have been good, but at that priec it's way too much for me to bother.

Eshop prepaid credit needs to match account currency right? No using £ credit on SEK, € store etc?

Zeek.com's got £50 credit for £41.50 with voucher BIGWIN or GLP2108.

I have it for Android, its more like Hydro Thunder than Wave Race, you are not fighting the water as much as you are just racing.

I see, thanks. Will check some videos of it, £4 seems like a good price.

No love for Masters of Anima?
The game looks pretty interesting, and now offers different levels of difficulty (most reviewers were complaining about its "brutality"). I'll very probably buy it later today, along with Sine Mora EX and Pan-Pan.

I'm heated that EU doesn't get the Sine Mora sale
https://www.pcgamesupply.com/Nintendo-eShop/

See the 2 Anima games are releasing today as well as the collection, Anima: Gate of Memories - Arcane Edition. Been keen to try it since it dropped on PS4 but have never pulled the trigger, it looks like a budget title but could be decent.
I think they look really interesting. They look kind of like those old "b-games" for PS2 that sometime could be really cool. I'm definitely going to give them a shot after Ys.
If the trailers weren't enough to put you off:

Yeah I read that one :)
I still stand by my statement though, it looks really interesting in an old-school B-way. I've had a lot of fun with old B-games.

Hm, seriously considering shining resonance refrain again, as I really enjoyed the demo, and due to travels I'd have a quiet week to work on it before I could retrieve my copy of octopath. Gameplay just clicked with me and the story seems silly and fun enough. Not everything needs to be deep or serious(I guess I have some anime tolerence really enjoyed xbc2, tales of Symphonia and skies of Arcadia over the last year )

...but that's how much it costs on every platform.

Ports aren't cheap, especially good ports.

Edit, well I don't know about the EU prices, actually. In NA it's $20 everywhere.

I am down for that Masters of Anima game, but I just got Pixel Junk Monsters 2 and I have a bunch of games on tap for my trip/vacation.

The other Anima(no relation) games are shame as the license they use is cool. I believe they are just sub-standard action games that lack a lot of polish. The devs seem to be able to cut a decent trailer and the games do have a following that really looks past a lot of the bad stuff.

I was put off that dev though bc they crowd funded the game originally, pulled an oh it may make it to WiiU no promises kind of thing, and then they went back to KS to get another round of funding to finish the game and I think make this expansion. Just shady shit all around, but I guess they did finally deliver.

I feel the same about Shining Resonance. That's not the kind of RPG I usually play, but it looks like a fun, lightweight adventure.

Tried the Fill-a-Pix demo.

I feel it has the same problem as Hexologic. It's just about finding the next thing you can do, not about deduction. With Hexologic, I hoped to get my Hexcells fix and with Fill-a-Pix something slightly different than Picross but in the same vein, but they both fall short and are merely (relaxing) timewasters with no challenge.

Riptide any good at scratching the Wave Race itch?
It's okay. More like a racer than anything else, as others have said. I thought it was fun for a while, but it got repetitive grinding through the single-player campaign (showing its mobile roots there). Still decent for a sale game as long as you know what you're getting into.

See I tried that demo and hated it, cancelled the amazon pre order, it was just waaaay too slow and too much talking. So I wanted an RPG and picked up YS, that game is fast and fun. Differnt game styles but might want to check that out also/instead

In fact, it looks like a lot a people hated the Shining Resonance demo ^_^

I'm surprised I liked it. I'm not a big anime fan, and worse: I'm an old school Shining Force fan. I should probably consider Resonance a travesty, but somehow I liked it 0_0

EDIT: I forgot to add that I'll definitely grab Ys VIII in the near future.

I started playing Golf Story yesterday, I was loving the HD rumble at first but it quickly felt like it was overused for every little thing. I wish you could tone it down a bit in the options the same way you're able to tone down the music and SFX.

Woot!!! Bomb Chicken is unlocked for me too. I hope it's release wasn't pushed back due to a game breaking bug or something. But for now, it's working and i'll be playing it early :D if you preloaded it try it.

Ohhhhhhh.... The game is Dream Alone! When I first saw the logo, I thought it said "Dream Acne." Yes, it made no sense as a name, but who was I to judge?

I felt the same way. It didn't force me to do any real thinking to solve the puzzles. I put in a hundred hours into Pic-a-Pix but I'm not sure I'll be getting this one.

Just bought Joe Dever's Lone Wolf. After gold coins I paid 85 cents. Can't wait to dive in. I got it on mobile through a humble bundle but only played about 30 minutes. I really enjoyed what was there but didn't really want to play it on my phone.

Way I see it, most people think 'oh we got a series divergence instead of a direct followup' which leads to a lot of negative replies. Instead of, oh they decided to do a spin on the series inspired by some of the lore concepts while doing a unique twist in style" this could be interesting, I'll judge it on its own merits and see if it appeals to me.

You tend to miss less if you take the latter viewpoint

boy o boy, i couldn't agree more. it's really distracting and it's probably my only complaint about this game. i was quite surprised there's no option to adjust it, at least turn it off for conversations.

Let me know how it performs in handheld mode, the game looks pretty sweet and I might grab it while it's on sale.
Is you crazy? I said I bought it, not that I'm gonna play it! You have no idea the size of my backlog.

Okay, maybe I'll try to get a few hours in before Octopath releases, and report back.

I quite liked the demo too. Probably grab it on sale at some point.

This kinda looks good. Might have to keep an eye out for more impressions.

Thanks for sharing.
It's definitely an interesting title. I'm still early in it, but it has kept my interest enough that I want to continue to play. It seems like a game that will overlooked -- perhaps rightfully so if it turns out to be mediocre, but Switch doesn't have many games in this genre.

Can anybody else play Bomb Chicken?

Only works if you added it to your wishlist in the US eshop. It was slated for a release this week, but was delisted (its new release date is probably July 12th based on other shops like mine). People that wishlisted it before that happened are/were able to buy it and play it, because the unlock date is apparently still set to this week.

It doesn't work for preorders in other eshops.

Oh boy Pool panic got a 7/19/18 date on the webshop. Is this new?

I hope this is a really good one. It looks awesome. No price yet but I'd love to preorder it.

So a new copy of Splatoon 2 costs 80CAD + tax, and I can get a copy for 60 on ebay.

Should I do that or spend roughly 40CAD on Owlboy, Jotun and Battle Chef Brigade?

Well, which do you want to play more?

FWIW, I didn't think Jotun was that great.

I'm not sure. I've heard bad things about Owlboy (and now Jotun which I've been worried about jumping into), and Battle Chef Brigade's puzzle elements look annoying.

Meanwhile Splatoon 2 just costs more than buying indie games but at least I'd be able to return it if I didn't like it.
