Switching between being annoyed at the welfare bureaucracy and being thankful that they exist so I can live.

I like how people are getting used to exclude the USA as some warzone or barbarian land lol

I want to go to canada. I hate how backwards Australian politics are. But other than that I'm happy I'm not living in America where it's turning into Gilead real quick.

Scotland
Hello from Scotland. It's a beautiful day today where I am. Lovely blue sky. I'm drinking a coffee and listening to a podcast. Report out that we, the UK, knew and did nothing about the insufferable mistreatment of US Detainees after 9/11. So that's nice. I am fully out of clean underwear so a mammoth washing undertaking will have to start at some point today. Hello to Everyone, not America, in the World and I hope you have a nice day.

Brazil is going downhill since 2013 at least. Every day things get grimmer and the tiny progressive steps we did are getting erased. Violence and poverty escalating. One of my best friends are going to Europe after getting his Italian citizenship and I envy him deeply tbh. I have a distant German ancestor but I don't think it's enough like in Italy's case.

I'm seeing a lot of people I know (especially LGBT people) fleeing the country and I don't blame them at all. I would do the same if it was just a little easier. This country will only get worse for a long time from now on, and the minorities and the working class will suffer the worst part of it. It's literally a matter of life and death.

UK
Summer in the UK is too hot, struggling with stress and weight issues.
Was going to be made redundant from work and find out now I am not, but if I don't perform instantly I am gone and held to levels others are not.
So, meh

Brazil
Brazilian here. Presidential elections are coming, and I'm feeling pretty disillusioned right now, knowing that Bolsonaro is probably going to win. Besides that, the sizeable ammount of people wanting this country to go back to military dictatorship (including parts of the family) makes me want to leave this country, but considering that I barely have enough money to get by the month, that's out of the question right now.
Besides that... meh, at least my current job is better than my last one.

Tell me about it. Ever since the impeachment, every single time that I think "things can't get worse than this", I'm proved wrong.

German here. Had a very productive day, handing in the final research paper needed for me to graduate among other things. Also had my father read me a column from the magazine Focus, which somehow equated our team's middling performance in the WC to our performing as a society, insulted gender studies and immigrants and so forth. I told my parents that that column is the ramblings of a privileged, white, heterosexual man, who's never had to struggle in his whole life and thus does not understand the value of things. Sadly they don't get that. I'm sad to see my parents grow so conservative as they grow older. It's really a huge bummer.

Heating in my office is broken and it's 5 degrees celsius outside (not much warmer inside), which is fucking cold in Australia.
